I remember watching a long time ago a few anime episodes that did not have main characters in them like Ash, brock or whatever, just other trainers really. Anyone know what these episodes were? Thanks in advance

They were from Pokemon Chronicles-a collection of Pokemon Specials that were compiled into a mini-series.

I definitely don't remember those. Prolly because I got bored with the anime half way through Johto, and only attempted to get back into it with DP.

Don't worry, a lot of people stopped watching the show in the middle of the Johto era. The Johto seasons had trouble keeping the interest of the fandom.

Most people didn't get back into it until the start of the 3rd or 4th gen.

you're right I mean I was a little kid but I always use to say with the boring episodes why did they put so much episode that don't even make sense, I only kept seeing it cause I wanted to see if Ash wins the johtoh league imagined my confidence destroy after the johto league ended, although I do think that they could have make an anime about jimmy that trainer from pokemon chronicles I think it could have been a good anime personally cause I am tired of Ash already.

i'm just glad that they stopped making it all kiddish like. there was a whole series in japan called Pokemon:Advanced Generation that was so seroius it didn't appear in america COME ON!!!!!!they said they couldn't put it on cuz it deals with love and death and stuff. And i'm getting sick of them changing the titles to make it more "kid-freindly". the japanese titles are much better. and i'd like the japanese themes back. and the narrator from the movie shorts SUCKS!He sounds like the dude who narrates for stuff on PBS Kids! And the episodes from Pokemon Chronicles that were titled Pikachu's Winter Vacation were so freakin childish it almost killed me. They need to make this more like a normal anime, like naruto or lucky star or inuyasha. They don't swear or have blood what the crap is up with that!!!!?????!!!!!????!!!!

make this a typical anime please guys!!!

I agree with the Japanese things... Pokemon originated in Japan right? How would someone else like it if they were a say person from U.K. or USA and made a TV show and when it was translated into Japanese or something, it got changed in bits? Its not exactly the same show is it?

Partially convinced that you're a troll. Will be keeping track.

It happened to Beast Wars Transformers several years ago. Originally from Canada, the Japanese ended up chopping it up to bits and rearranging them to change the plot around, not to mention characterization, and pretty much turned it into a comedy. Lots of Rattrap acting like Pikachu (because Pokemon was super-popular back then) and Megatron screaming like a little girl. Very frightening, but the fandom is surprisingly mature and apathetic about it. Probably since Beast Machines did better at ruining Beast Wars...

I'm sorry but what in the hell are you talking about? Advanced Generation came to the U.S in what is called here:Advanced, Advanced Challenge, Advanced Battle, and Advanced Battle Frontier.

There is no love/death in the original version of that series....so, yeah. Come on now, at least make your complaints valid instead of raving.

For your last part, didn't Satoshi Tajari say something about not wanting swearing/blood/gore and stuff like that or was I mistaken? And besides Pokemon hardly warrants Resident Evil blood and swearing.....

seriously.

Most of the movies have Ash and co. lives in danger.

This is what I don't understand, people complain about how the regular show has no real villains, (aside from the ocassional Team Rocket, Magma/Aqua, Galactic episode), and that there are no epic legendary battles....but that's what the movies exist for!

The movies have villains (even if most of them turn good at the end), legendary battles and Ash and friends lives are in danger in most of them.

The movies even have a plot, so what is the big deal? The writers save the epic stuff for the movies and keep the show about the battles Gyms/Contests and fillers.

You're suppose to be watching the movies in addition to the regular show, that's how you get everything you want.
