Anime help.

Hello. A plea for help from an anime fan.

Absolutly years ago, i used to watch an anime, but i cannot for the life of me remember the name.

I cant remember any real specifics either, just that i really enjoyed it.

It revolved around a crew of a small spaceship, and they were trying to find, or piece together something/somethings. And the lead hero had a gun that fired special ammo, that came in differently coloured capsuels i think. The protagonist was a kind of "rebel without a cause" who ends up opening up to the plight of "insert pretty girls name here" and really caring.

And no, it want final fantasy unlimited

Sorry I'm being so vague. I think they used to show it on the Sci-Fi channel in the UK if thagt helps, during their Anime morning things they did years ago, alternatively i could be totally wrong, the only anime i renember watching on there was "Martian Succesor Nadisico" and that was about 7 years ago haha.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Yeah, I loved the series. It was wild, manic, and all over the place, but it had a good plot.
