does any one know who came up with idea for pokemon charactor and episodes? please let me know.

The game related characters are created by Ken Sugimori, aren't they?

So Misty, Brock, and May were created thanks to him.

Tracey was probably thought up by one of the anime writers, or something.

And of course, Gary in the Japanese version was named Shigeru after Shigeru Miyamoto (creator of Mario, Donkey Kong, and Zelda).

Also, there's the director of both the Pokemon anime and the movies, Kunihiko Yuyama. They even have a special feature with him on the 5th and 7th movie DVDs.

Instead of constructing a poorly-worded, poorly-researched answer, I'm going to wait for Zhen Lin to reply, because he's an expert. :|

There are probably a dozen people I will leave out in my answer... but here we go:

The whole concept of Pokémon was created by Satoshi Tajiri 田尻 智.
The original designers of the Pokémon are:
  • Ken Sugimori 杉森 健
  • Atsuko Nishida 西田敦子
  • Motofumi Fujiwara 藤原基史
  • Shigeki Morimoto 森本茂樹
As of Generation III, the list has expanded to include 9 new staff. A subset of these people are responsible for the human characters - originally Ken Sugimori and Atsuko Nishino, but the character design heading no longer appears in the game credits.

The anime characters were designed by Sayuri Ichiishi 一石小百合. Character staging (whatever that means) was initially by Takeshi Shudō 首藤剛志, who was a prominent writer in the anime, now retired; now character staging is by Kenji Matsushima 松島賢二 and Kōji Nishino 西野弘二 (both of whom are also involved in game design). Note however that the movie characters are designed by two other staff in addition to Sayuri Ichiishi.

As for the animation style, the animation supervisor is Yōichi Kotabe 小田部羊一 and the executive animation director is Toshiya Yamada 山田俊也. Of course, movies have different executive animation directors; lately it has been Kazuaki Mōri 毛利和昭.

The planning (whether that means overall direction or not I don't know) is done by:
  • Keisuke Iwata 岩田圭介 (TV Tokyo) (until BF)
  • Takashi Kawaguchi 川口孝司 (Nintendo) (until AG)
  • Mikihiko Fukazawa 深沢幹彦 (TV Tokyo) (from BF on)
  • Hiroyuki Jinnai 陣内弘之 (Creatures) (from AG on)
  • Masakazu Kubo 久保雅一 (Shōgakukan)

The executive producer of the anime is Kunihiko Yuyama 湯山邦彦; he takes a more active role in the movies as director.

There are about a ten times more names associated with Pokémon than those listed here - you can see a portion of them by looking at the [bp=Category:List]staff lists[/bp]. There over 120 people who have either directed, storyboarded, written or directed the animation of episodes in the anime alone.

Technically, Junichi Masuda should be included, shouldn't he? He did afterall create the Hoenn Region that the anime of course used, and as a composer, his music has been adapted for the anime too.

Yeah, that's probably true!

And then his music was re-done by Shinji Miyazaki or something......

Actually, Jun'ichi Masuda 増田順一 hasn't been credited for original music for a while now. He used to, though. The three game soundtrack composers are Jun'ichi Masuda, Gō Ichinose 一之瀬 剛 and Morikazu Aoki 青木森一 - presently, it is the latter two who are credited for the original score. Nowadays, Jun'ichi Masuda, together with Ken Sugimori, are credited for original concept in addition to Satoshi Tajiri.

The composer of the anime background music is Shinji Miyazaki 宮崎慎二. There are a few other people involved as well - Hirokazu Tanaka, for example, composed most of the theme songs.

Yeah, that's one thing I'd like to know......

How does he create those beautiful song remixes from the games?

It intrigues me, because the GBA isn't quite capable of music like that.

But, when you hear how wonderful those songs are in the anime, it's just amazing.

Of course, now that D/P will be on the DS, I bet they could actually get that same kind of BGM quality that the anime songs have. That would be great!! ^^

The music is scored just as any music is. Easy enough to modify to include other instruments and add/change bits to suit.
