I think there should be some kind of present when people are a user over a certain amount of time. For example, for each year you stay on the forums, you could obtain certain things, like ability to delete your threads, ability to see invisible users, etc.

You already have the ability to delete your threads (the same way you delete posts) and letting normal users see invisible users defeats the purpose.

I like this idea.
But it may take too long to track down all the active members that already have been here for more than a year and give them the powers.

So your saying....everyone slowly becomes a mod?

Naaaaawwww

We wouldn't get special abilities, but an icon would be nice. We likely won't get this, though, considering how many people there are.

I think that a little icon would be a good idea, but it requires that you're an active user and have been here for 3 years.

There is no point. There are people who have accounts on this forum from 2003 -2005 who haven't logged on in YEARS...what is the point of rewarding accounts that are never even used.

D: I think you shouldn't be so greedy...

bolded for emphasis.

An active user would be someone who posts often, and contributes regularily to BMGF.
Yes, but how active would a user have to be? Should they be online 75% of the day? Should they have an average of 10 posts a day? You've got to think of parameters for this.

Probably an average of at least 5 posts per day.

It would never work. Your reward for being a member here is so you can join social groups, post blogs, have avatars, etc etc etc etc all for free and just joining. People who have special things given to them are usually staff or contributors and there is a reason for that.

Like I said, stop being greedy. All the privilege's already given to you the day you join are a good enough annual present.
