I guess I'm still getting used to it... (hp Mini) So- My speakers are a little bar on the joint of the keyboard and screen. Lately- Specifically when it's bumped or exposed heavy air- It's making funny crackling noises from the speaker. My guess was

1) It's dusty.

2) It's a minor virus

I have Norton AntiVirus 2009, and it ran a scan last couple days. I'm running a full system scan now, but all it's found so far is a couple Tracking Cookies, which I'm guessing were my 'Remember Me' account here. Or it could be eBay, since I was watching an item with email.

Do you think this is dust or malicious content?

EDIT: It got worse. Now if I try to adjust the volumne, the sample sound sounds like a duck quack, very very uietly. The only I can gett it to work right is by rapping hardly on the speaker bar.

Either a driver issue (reinstall the drivers) or a hardware issue. Send it back as you may have a speaker issue.

No no, I didn't buy the laptop on eBay, I was saying what I thought the cookies were.

But it seems to have stopped now. If I push the screen all he way back, the speakers work fine.
