Anti-Venom, New Spidey Foe to Debut in August

New villains aren't usually that worthy of a new thread...but c'mon. It's Anti-VENOM.

Now...I leave to go laugh at that. C'mon. Anti-Venom? Really? Spider-Man's had some stupid villains in his time, but...ANTI-VENOM? Because the ten other symbiote-bonded characters weren't enough? ...Anti-Venom. Why not just bring back the April Fool? Make him a Joker-type character. And who didn't love Banjo? Blare? Blood Spider? Captain Power's just ASKING to be revamped. And where are my Color Criminals? And the list goes on.

Anti-Venom...he'd better have one badass origin/story/plot.

Anyway. I couldn't care less about any symbiotes that aren't Toxin or Mac Gargan, but I am looking foward to seeing Norman Osborn in BND. I want to know what Harry thinks of his father being publicly known as the Green Goblin.

Eh, Venom's...ambiguous. He was a villain, then a hero, then a villain. Then someone else got the suit and was a villain. Then someone ELSE got the suit and was a villain. But the current Venom is a "hero" forced to work for the government. So...y'know...the opposite of that is...ummm...yeah...

As someone who knows diddly squat about the comics, but is a Spider-Man...enthusiast...and even bigger Venom enthusiast, I'm a sucker for this character (as I am for most of the symbiotes). Anti-Venom as a name is asinine, but the character itself looks cool. It's certainly cooler to me than some of the other symbiotes, such as Scream, and perhaps a dram more creative than the likes of Riot, Lasher and Toxin.

i think that venom is a rare breed: an anti-villian, like an anit hero does bad stuff for teh greater good, an anti villian does bad but tries not to hurt anyone

not liking the new look though, how will this play out with thunderbolts?
