Any chance of Orange Islands?

Is there any chance of the Orange Islands making an appearance? Maybe kinda like Sevii but for Johto? Is there any evidence to support or refute their inclusion?

No, and frankly they'd be stupid. They would be exactly like the Sevii islands only they'd have a different name.
 
The Orange Island gyms are basically mini-games. We have the Pokethalon.
 
Ok, I want to bring you back in time to when this idea was thought to be good. It is the first gen, and all the anime shows of the gyms are the respective battles with the leaders. The anime didn't handle too many of these battles very well, either. I will also remind you of what the gyms in the games were like back then. Only a little over half of them had a sort of puzzle to solve to get to the gym leader, the rest were straightforward fight through trainers. When we saw the Orange Island gyms in the anime, they were like a breath of fresh air. It was actually more of a challenge to get those badges, but it was an anime only device. Now, it wouldn't be such a good idea to implement this. Why? Because most of the gyms have their own puzzle in the games now. The only exception seems to the first gym, which since the third gen, Gamefreak has made a way you can actually avoid the trainers and just fight the gym leader if you want. (Why you would do that is beyond me) It's like the gyms have their own personality now, there's no telling what crazy set of circumstances they'll think of next. We have seen HG/SS continue this tradition, which I support completely since the original G/S had even less gyms puzzles than the first gen. To go beyond this would be unnecessary to me. We fight through a puzzle and now you have a mini game and possibly a battle too? Needless to say, this idea is ridiculous in terms of the games by now. I daresay it wouldn't have worked in the first place considering we already had gym puzzles. I will also agree that now that Pokethlon exists, even the desire to have challenges like that have been satisfied. As for the existence of Orange Islands itself, it was an anime only creation and nothing more. I know I can't really destroy this idea, but I hope I made you think about some things.

The Orange Archepelago was an anime filler until GSC were announced, and Johto.

They will bever appear in the games, unless you get an illegal copy of Naranja.
 
Admit it, this is only so you get to see Tracey in game-canon, isn't it?

I didn't like the orange islands, they really put me off Pokemon for a while.

Actually no they are not. They have their own mini league, does Sevii have that? No. PLus they have places for the three birds. Plus they could do something for Pinkin Island to make it interesting in game as well.

Right now saying no can't prove that the answer is no. There is a small chance the alswer could be "yes" All of you that are so sure the answers no, do you have any proof of this? no. I'm not saying I'm right either, but there is at least a chance the OI might appear.

And people please stop using Pokeathlon as an excuse. Just because tis there does not mean they are not adding anything else. "Oh there is Pokerathlon now lets get rid of the Battle Frontier, Contests and everything else including bug catching contests and have the national park like the safari zone! We don't need anything else, we have the pokeathlon!" *sarcasm over*
