Any conspiracy theories that are worth discussing? What do you think?

The Giovanni commiting suicide thing kinda got me started.
Well, are there any conspiracy theories that are in the games?
This can also be a speculation page or a guessing page.

Are there anymore? Go ahead and reply.

Well, I personally don't have any, but know (and this goes for everyone) that the Giovanni issue is already getting old. We've all heard of it, and it has it's own topic... somewhere.

Anyways, even when I have no conspiracy theories at hand, I have a question: What the hell is Silver doing around all the Team Rocket's taken places?
...yeah, he's Giovanni's kid, but so? He explicitly says he dislikes them (and, damn, he even says that to his dad), so what is he doing around them? He doesn't help you beating them, either. Also, is there a PokeSpe-like plot around to make him their boss in case Giovanni fails to show up? Is that it?!

On a bigger scale, and not necessarily on HGSS, though it's involved: Are the Pokemon creators attempting to take over the world by slipping it into our minds that Arceus is "god"?

I was looking at another thread and I read about the tin and brass towers. And how Ho-Oh rested one and an immense silver-colored pokemon rested on the other.
If I recall correctly, Lugia hangs out in the Whirl Islands because it is too powerful and can't control itself.

PokeDex entries:
It is said that it quietly spends its time deep at the bottom of the sea because its powers are too strong.

and
It slumbers at the bottom of a deep trench. If it flaps its wings, it is said to cause a 40-day storm.

Why would Lugia live in a city where it could destroy it when it moved? I don't think this pokemon is Lugia. I think it could be some other pokemon potentially more similar to Ho-Oh.

Well, the story goes that Brass tower was burned down, which was the tower Lugia would've rested before the tower burned down. Then, after the tower burned down, Lugia took off to the Whirl Islands as its new resting place. And maybe it causes 40-day storms because it is still mad because its tower was burned down.

Good point, I see your logic.

What is interesting, is a thing which started Fanon (Silver being Giovanni's Son) and then became Canon (Giovanni Event).

Well it's happened before... (Eeveelutions/Ranger: Shadows of Almia.)

I firmly believe that "Silver is Giovanni's son" was never fanon. GenIII's remakes of GenI made it canon, and the HGSS event just confirmed it for the people who was hiding under a rock all that time.
...otherwise, PokeSpe wouldn't have gotten away with what it did in the FRLG chapter. It was canon, end of discussion.

Maybe I forgot, but what was the canon in FRLG?

That Silver is Giovanni's kid. In the games, they couldn't get away with naming him because he didn't exist in GenI*; it was easier to get it across through the manga, where the "remakes" are a good excuse to do a timeskip with the same characters they had before.

*And creating an event solely to introduce him would have to come out of the blue, considering the remakes of GenI already had a lot to do, expanding on its previous plot AND adding the Sevii Islands to keep the people happy about the Orange Islands deal of the anime.

I also believe this part of the canon was made as a way for the creators of the franchise to kill the actual fanon idea that Ash might be Giovanni's kid** (...gosh, at least they have similar eye and hair color; and it was a pretty cool idea 10 years ago, too!). The fact that it became canon merely a generation after Silver's first introduction makes it even more likely.

**Even though the idea is quite appropriate and fits the Japanese culture, the following text is made of crack:
"Quick! Find me someone to kick my namesake out of the embarrassing and dishonorable position as a yakuza/mafia leader's son!" said Satoshi Tajiri.
"OK, so Red is the crosscanon for Satoshi/Ash, and Green for Shigeru/Gary, the revered Prof.'s grandson... And we also don't want to insult our players by implying another hero, Gold, could be on such a horrible position... Then-"
"-Silver! He's a rival, and he's a total jerk, so nobody will care!"
"Phew!" sighed Satoshi Tajiri, as the weight was lifted off his shoulders by his very capable team of developers and co-conspirators.

...and I better leave my ideas at that; my mind is beginning to wander.

Oak and his many infidelities

Just think about it. His two grand children have brown hair. He's been shown in the anime to have had brown hair as a child. In his most recent sprite, his hair takes on a graying brown look.

Now look at Red's redesign. He has brown hair as well. Look at Lyra. She has brown hair. The new male protagonist? Brown hair. But that's not all, people have been going around saying that NewBoy looks like Red, while others have noted his similarities to Lyra. Coincidence?

Oak has also shown preferences towards Red over his own grand child, and Daisy, somehow mysteriously has two Town Maps? Yeah, very likely. She probably knows the truth too.

OAK IS A MAN WHORE.

(...)

OAK IS A MAN WHORE.
First, pal, brown hair is not uncommon anywhere in the world, and the tones are endless; even if the tones you refer to are the same, it's a very probable thing those people are not related at all. And now that we're out of the GBC era, the majority of the Pokeworld people has been shown as having brown hair, too.

Second, I don't see HGSS in your post. If you want to talk about professors, then worry about Elm: Silver stole a Pokemon from under his nose, very probably unarmed, and his family now lives upstairs from his lab, so he's really not doing them or himself a favor being so careless.
He should hire some freaking security team, you know? Or send his only assistant to learn awesome kung fu skills somewhere, so he can also defend their territory. Otherwise, next time, they're going to steal his wife, his kid, his nice TV, and the lunch he always forgets about too!

...and though I admit that Oak being a man whore is an hilarious and oddly fitting theory (he forgot his grandson's name; there's a possibility that this is because of his millions of hellspawn, that then proceeded to have kids of their own too), I don't support it.

What about May then? D: She has brown hair, too.

Prof. Oak isn't in RSE and she has a father.
That's the point about bringing Sapphire/May in. Claiming that all the young people that has brown hair is related to Prof. Oak is, after all, too much of a stretch...
