I hesitate to ask this question, but I just can't help myself. In my own defense, I searched the forum pretty thoroughly to see if this has been covered in another thread, but I didn't find anything.

What (if anything) do we know about possible forthcoming Pokémon games? A third Generation IV game? I've heard the "Jade" rumor, but do we at least know if a third game is in production? How about a Johto remake (I've seen snippets of discussion about Photoshopped fakes, but that's about it)?

I'm just curious as to what the word is. Googling for it is useless, so I thought I'd ask around here.

Aside from the upcoming Dungeon sequels, there's nothing known for a fact. It's a good bet we'll get a third game, and it's debatable whether we'll get GS remakes. But, again, aside from the Dungeon sequels, it's all just speculation and guessing/hoping at this point.

Yeah, the director had some ideas for new pokemon games and such that could bring people more together and you could learn about pokemon without battling, but at this point it's all speculation. Besides Dungeon, I think that the director's just throwing around some ideas as to what can be done.

Making DP took a lot out of them, so i assume that they're taking a break.

With all the people wanting a GS remake I would be surprised if there wasn't one.

I, too, would like to see a G/S/C remake.

I'd like to see a video game based on Satoshi and the anime. We did get Yellow so maybe a remake of that game could be more proper. But adding in his previous and current traveling friends would be an extra bonus. ^_^

If the pattern follows, we'll probably see our first Gen 5 by next May in time for Movie 11 (unless, since we have more event ledgendaries, they'll wait till Movie 12.

GS remakes would be awesome. My personal prediction for possible titles for the Silver and Gold remakes: Pokemon Copper and Pokemon Platinum. Also, I think it'd be cool for a fifth gen central theme to be the classic struggle of good versus evil as shown through two opposing legendaries being based on either Hercules or Perseus and Cerberus and the games being called Pluto and Jupiter. Yeah, I know there's kind of a struggle between Darkrai and Arceus, but I think it'd be better this way instead.

But as for anything that's been confirmed, yeah, Mystery Dungeon Time and Darkness Expeditions are about it... So far... I've heard some rumors about possible remakes of the GS series and the possible third installment Jade Version on a couple sites, but it's likely just all bull.

Jade'd be good, as it follows the trend.

Pokemon Blue + Red -----------> Pokemon Yellow
Pokemon Gold + Silver ---------> Pokemon Crystal
Pokemon Diamond + Pearl ------> Pokemon ???

Makes sense.
And I'd love to see a Gold and Silver remake, those were the best pokemon games in my opinion. Having both Kanto and Johto and all 16 badges took me ages to complete and I never got bored until Leaf Green came out.

How does Jade make sense with those? 0.o

Although, I feel a GS remake will proceed the 3rd DP Game. I don't mind, although it's not on my OMG MUST HAVE! as I found GS the worst games (hopefully the remake will change that)

Well Jade's considered to be an upgrade of D + P according to the interview (whether it's true or not remains to be seen), and both Yellow and Crystal are exactly that. There's not much extra in both versions, but are considered more sophisticated games, addressing any bugs and wanted/unwanted features.

Jade and Diamond were fake Pokemon games from a number of years ago that were sold in China. THAT is where every piece of "the third one is Jade" originates from.

I'm still surprised that they used Diamond at all.

I remember that whole scandal, my mate got one. I was about 11 at the time and I deemed it out of place when they used the word "sh*t" in it.

They weren't fake pokemon games...

They were a set of japanese games called Keitai Denjū Telefang...

They were illegally translated and sold here as Pokemon Diamond and Jade...

Were they real Pokemon games? No. Then they were FAKE Pokemon games. They may have been real something else, but they were fake POKEMON games.

Technically it was only sold on eBay, but since it was a pirated game, it most likely originated in China (which is where...most...pirated things originate nowadays). And, most likely, the ones that ended up on eBay came from China. Still happens.
