Any word on another Battle Frontier?

Sorry if this has been posted already, but I generally don't follow videogame news too closely.

I assume there will at least be a Battle Tower like Crystal had, but any word if there is another full-fledged Battle Frontier?
 
You mean beside the animated map on the official website showing the roof of a tall tower where the crystal battle tower used to be? Nope, nothing.
 
Someone who zoomed in on some of the map photos saw the Top of the battle tower next to Olivine, so it looks like that will be returning. Whether or not there is enough room for other facilities hasn't been seen yet, but there's always plenty of room in Kanto if the developers needed the space. It'll probably be in, since Gen II was the first one to have anything like the battle frontier concept.

The picture of the roof of the tower was altered in color enough for us to determine there is room enough for maybe two or three more facilities of large size.

Yeah, I thought it was something like that. But which events could they fit in there? They've used the Battle Factory for both battle frontiers, but it doesn't seem like there's enough room for more than 3 more events.
 
Well, I liked Dome and Factory (I haven't gotten to Platinum's yet) so, they'll most likely have the factory and tower, both being staples. I like the dome for tournament setup, so that should be in. And if that's it... so be it. I'm happy.
 
I suspect it'll be comprised of most of the missing ones from Sinnoh plus a tower. Arena is supersmall, probably the Dome and two others.
 
For some reason, I don't care if Frontier will be there. I'm not a big fan of Frontier challenges. So, I would personally prefer there to be just Battle Tower, for the sake of status quo. But that's just me. Frontier wouldn't hurt.

Good that it's in its old spot near Olivine. It would really suck if they relocated them... I mean, when they ditched Kris, I thought that they'll be cutting all HGSS's ties to Crystal. But I hope it's not the case. Crystal had some really cool features, which I want to return.
 
They could have Battle Tower in same location and frontier somewhere else, its not written in stone that the tower and other frontier facilites have to be in same place, right? the frontier has to be for obvious reasons, but the tower does not. Its only been that way in Emerald and Platinum because there was room to fit the frontier in the same place as the tower used to be
 
Maybe they'll have one, maybe not, but I hope so. I loved the Battle Frontier in both Pt and E.
 
It would be nice if the experimented a little bit, instead of re-using all old events. The battle tower is returning, of course, and the battle factory is good for people who don't want to raise their pokemon to level 50/100, but they should try some new things that are unique.

And I would feel good if there were 4 other arenas. Obviously the Factory should return, but they need some ideas besides that. Maybe an arena where you and a bunch of other trainers are dumped into some giant sandbox or something.

While we're at it, I've got a few ideas. They're kind of lame, though. I thought about a Battle Bakery, a Battle Hive, a Battle Fortress, a Battle Circus, a Battle Gym, a Battle Shipyard, a Battle Hangar...

Yeah, but what would their special rules be? The idea of a place called the Battle Fortress sounds cool, but we need to hear some rule ideas first.

Actually, thinking about, a Battle Shipyard would be cool, since there's some land by the shore that's covered by fog. It would add to the number without taking away much of the available land.
 
Simply moving the old Battle Frontier to Johto would satisfy me. That, or just at least give the old Frontier Brains SOMETHING (a Battleground?) instead of severing all ties like Platinum did.

HAHA, yes XD. Here's an example? *shrug* lmao

Battle Bakery: See, instead of using random Pokémon, the player would use food-related Pokémon such as Lickitung (not much of a food-related Pokémon, but yeah), Licklicky (same thing here), Munchlax, Snorlax, Mr. Mime (for the cooking), Combee, Vespiquen, Cherubi, Cherrim, Koffing, Weezing, Grimer, Muk...? Like, in the garbage? Eh, I think that's pushing it. Whatever. So yeah. You'd pick 3 Pokémon and then, you'd battle trainers with various Pokémon. Before battling any trainer, you'd have to bake your own Poffin (in this case, this type of Poffin would enhance your battling skills, or something).

Then, after winning... bah, 50 battles in a row (I don't know... just throwing a random number), you'd face the Bakery Chef. LOL.

Just an idea.

Battle hive sounds a bit like the pike in my mind, except it's tunnels in a giant honeycomb.
 
Bumping this up to point something out:

Looking at some of the images on the official site, I noticed on the fully-complete Johto Pokégear map that there is a location marked next to Olivine City, where the Battle Tower was in Crystal.
