anyone care to guess on English names for D/P characters and Pokemon?

Didn't see a thread like this, so here's a few of my guesses:

Hyouta = Cliff
Appropriate name for the Rock theme that isn't already taken.

Natane (Grass-type Gym Leader) = Blossom
Obvious reasons. And there used to be a TV show called Blossom, I think, with the titular character being a teenage girl.

Pachirisu = Squirrent
squirrel + current (as in an electric current)

Pochama = Rainguin
Saw someone else use this name for it and I like it. Rain + penguin obviously.

I'm going to guess Akagi will be Adam. Starts with the same letter and suits his goals.

Seeing as how none of the pikas have had their name changed, I'll be very surprised if Pachirisu doesn't just have its name romanized as Pachirese and leave it at that.

Shirona will likely be Sharon or Sharona, I'm almost certain (as are most people)

Adam is a good name for Akagi, but I don't know...it seems just a little on the dull end, though.

I hope Crescelia keeps that name.

Merissa will probably keep her romanized name "Melissa." I can't see the Nacho Libre gym leader staying named Maxi, though, because we've already had a Maxie (pronounced the same way)

For Dianose I'll guess "Trinose," since it has three 'small noses' on the West, East and South points of its body.

There is no "tradition". Misty was just a randomly named Gym Leader having to do with water. May was just a name chosen with no particular pattern in mind.

How does that hint at tradition? That's something I don't get when people say that.
