Anyone else had a glitch on Route 119?

My OR game is continually freezing at the point where the cinematic would play for the encounter with May after the Weather Institute. The first time I got here the screen flickered extensively, then froze immediately after the battle.

Now I'm back before that point, and it freezes as soon as I reach the stairs after the bridge. No cinematic, no battle. I can't find reports of this happening anywhere.

Starting to think I've got a faulty copy, any thoughts?

Sorry, didn't have any issues at all. I have a European/Pal copy, if that helps

I didn't have the issue either, nor have I seen it reported on any other pokemon fansite. Have you had issues with any other games? Might want to try playing what ever the most graphic intensive game you have to try to rule out a hardware issue.

It's a New 3DS XL I got at the same time, so I'm hoping it's not hardware. I've had no other graphical glitches at all while playing OR though, and it constantly freezes at this exact point. Leads me to believe there's a bit of faulty data on the cartridge when it attempts to load this cinematic.

I assume you've downloaded the latest updates for the game and the 3DS?

Yeah everything was fully updated. I couldn't find any mention of this happening online, so I don't believe it was a known bug that required a patch.

I took it back to the store and showed them the glitch, they swapped it for a new copy. Bye bye saved game Banked all my Pokemon though. Hopefully this new copy doesn't have the same issue.

New one froze several times in Rustboro lol. I eventually got through at it seems okay again.
