Currently, people are debating if this is fake...looks real to me!

The only thing that bothers me is that darn foot going outside the shadow, and other little things that make the sprite's quality questionable.

Other than that, all signs point to real. I'm playing with the picture in GIMP, and I'm seeing signs of a photo that would be difficult, if not impossible, to fake...

Sweet.

I really hope it's real, it looks tight.

Although, with the DS Browser, someone could create a pic, upload it to a site, then go with their DS and open the pic, and take a picture of it too give it a demo-esque look, correct?

Looks hideous.

And I think that twig on its head felt really tacked on some plain tortoise-like creature. ;_;

Quite possible, though that'd be a lot of trouble to go through just to fool people.

It's not really that ugly, but it's not a well made sprite, unless that's mid-animation or something...

Also, it seems odd to me that someone would get far enough in the demo to see the second-level starter. Don't they kick the player off at some point? And why's there only a picture of this one - what about other Pokémon they may have seen from the start of the game to this assumable rival encounter.

Mm, something's definitely not sitting with me right about this situation. If it's real, I'm disappointed with Game Freak - if it's fake, I'm impressed by the faker at how well they made it look real.

Well, I mean, look at how barely Charmander to Charmeleon changed...

Or Poliwhirl to Poliwrath (teh mean eyes!)

Yes, after ten minutes. You would catch a Pokemon and then play with it in Diamond or Pearl for ten minutes, then you got the out.

It may be a different demo perhaps....

Regardless, remember how ugly people thought Grovyle was when we first saw a sprite? It will probably grow on everyone eventually.

EDIT: They may of not realized it was yours, Serebii.

Well I know the pics not mine but usin the pic I cropped and resized and thanking someone else...bit low

But I digress...its off-topic

I'm still a bit weary about this due to Aobasu's positioning

It seems odd, but indeed it would be excruciatingly difficult to fake a screen like this. Then again, I am not familiar with Photoshop or anything like it.

Looking at the edit history, PokéSafari is the creator of that article so that explains that.

As to the new Pokémon, I don't dislike it. While it doesn't have the most attractive appearance, it looks alright for what it is.

I'm sure we'll grow to like it...

Remember how Combushken, Marshstomp, and Grovyle were considered "ugly" when they were first shown?

I thought, when I saw the original Sugimori art, that Treecko was hideous. Then, I began to like him more and more, and then I eventually started with him. -huggles Treecko-
About this dude, he looks cool, and if this is real you can make a pretty good guess what the final form is-a massive tortoise with a tree on his head, and maybe some designs on his shell. (And I hope it has two heads. xD)

Yes, but the anime and Sugimori art always makes Pokemon cooler...

You can't tell me you never have been impressed by May's Combushken.

Anyway, I love Aobasu, I definately want a Naetle now!
