On pokebeach the video clearly shows an apriorn tree at 00:30-00:33. It is clearly an Apricorn on top.

Whoopee, there in there in.
Lets just hope the balls are too.

Don't mean to 'harsh your buzz' or anything, but... Well not only is that not an official confirmation, but it's pretty old. And official confirmation would be like... a magazine article on them, or something.

Just let him have his moment. At least its not a crap theory of "OMG THEY REMOVED A FEATURE FROM THE GAME LAWD"

Oh u.

In this case, we can see as clear as day it's the apricorn plant and it's in and in-game video. I'd venture to say that's confrimation enough.

Yeah, maybe.

Maybe.

But is it an actual Japanese guy with glasses n' shit saying "Wait, no. Okay. Apricorns confirmed."

For all we know, they're making berries visible on trees. They did introduce berries in gen 2.

Well, this is the first time I've seen the video in good quality, and at least the Ho-Oh and Lugia cut-scenes are actually part of the game, though they're the opening screen.

And it makes that whole Ho-Oh flying into Tin Tower scene much more believable.

Also, its probably confirmed that it is an apricorn tree, or that they've completely gone back to the old ways of planting berries.

This "offical confirmation" would have held a lot more water if that tree's location on the map actually corresponded to an Apricorn tree, rather than a Psncure/Pecha berry tree.

Maybe more apricorns, and thus apricorn trees, have been added. After all, there are more special balls in Gen 4 than there were in Gen 2.

I doubt they'd use Apricorns on those new generation Pokeballs that we can obtain so easily. Besides, the apricorn balls themselves still seem more powerful than their new counterparts. Some of them are x8, and Friend Ball automatically raises happiness to the highest level compared to Luxury Ball which only gives a bonus by being caught in it.

This "offical confirmation" would have held a lot more water if that tree's location on the map actually corresponded to an Apricorn tree, rather than a Psncure/Pecha berry tree.

Considering that all those trees were just one tree, perhaps Game Freak just made separate plots for berries somewhere else, and turned all those single trees into Apricorn trees.

Well, that particular tree in question is on Route 30, which in the original game produced berries, not apricorns. Of course, it would be strange if they had the trees and not the aprocorns, so consider them confirmed. I mean, they likely wouldn't replace the existing apricorn trees with berries, then Kurt wouldn't have a purpose. I think that this proves apricorns.

Sorry to burst your bubble Max but you are a little late to the party. Been there. That's the PSNCUREBERRY by Mr. Pokemon's house on route 30 (?). We decided that due to no knowledge of the Berry System, we are referring to it as a berry tree, meaning it's not an Apricorn. Actually, I think someone said it'd be pointless to have an apricorn tree there since you don't meet Kurt till later.

Kind of ironic since most you stated had been stated on this thread already but that's not the point.

So what if its a bit too early for Kurt? They can just hold it, or have dialogue saying that the apricorn is not mature yet.

Kind of ironic but everything Max said has also been said before.

I think your using the word ironic wrong. But that's not the point.

Okay, so maybe it wouldn't be a problem. To you. Picture eight year old jimmy. He was born two years after Apricorns were introduced. He probably knows nothing about them. So he finds one. And he has no idea what to do with it. He gets confused. So maybe he sells it, or throws it out, or jsut plain forgets about it. I found it appropriate that the first place we find Apricorns is behind the house of the guy to introduce us to the concept. Instead, we'd be finding them by the house of an eccentric hermit who annoys Elm and us simply by having us run around for no reason.

you're an ass hole. :l

you used you're wrong.

that's all.

Well if it's grammatical you want to get, "ass hole" should be "asshole" if you are using the word as an insult. No space.

But is it an actual Japanese guy with glasses n' shit saying "Wait, no. Okay. Apricorns confirmed."

This will never happen. For anything.

Ryuu, you posted saying "sorry to burst your bubble" when Max's bubble has been burst already. Though what you said about Max King posting what was already known thinking it was new is irony. But what I don't get is how you see that as irony but you don't see what you said as irony when the premise is the same. Whatever, not the point, I don't get why someone else is getting insulted by this when you were talking to me and I'm fine with it.

That's why I said maybe the tree would say "the apricorn is not mature yet"

Another, possibly better, thing they could do is have the game say "you have no use for this" until you actually talk to Kurt.

This would work.

But a bit of a better statement would be: "A strange plant is growing here. Lets leave it alone"

Leave it alone, sounds a little silly, but basically something like that could come. But that plant is most probably a berry plant. But Im pretty sure apricrons are in...
