Arceus event-Stranger then thought?

Wish the site logo didn't cover up right where the player character is in the top-left corner. The bottom menu says 'Soul' under a trainer card-like icon... so I have to wonder if it's the girl character or Gold in that screenshot..

Oh, and the Hiker appears to be inside of Oreburgh mine, for what its worth.

that is deffinatley new art work. the old arceus pic had that golden ring go all the way around him. this one is cut into sections with no top or bottom circle parts
just...completly.....awesome.....
can HgSs get anymore amazing????

Yes,yes it can

Oh, and the Hiker appears to be inside of Oreburgh mine, for what its worth.
Exactly. There was no hiker there. Maybe the game gets through the event by the library? I would love that!

Yep: in the screenshot, the Hiker just says "There's a myth in Sinnoh about the beginning of the world", but the caption says "When you go to Oreburgh coal mine, you can meet a person who is investigating myths." Working on the rest now.

Whoa! So then this guy IS linked to the event. This is great news.

More text, from the top of the Arceus section:

"The Pokémon that can be obtained from the movie, which are still a hidden secret!" (I think - the "ni wa" construction is difficult for me to translate.)

"With the Pokémon movie to be released this summer, the ability to obtain Pikachu-colored Pichu and the Pokémon of illusion*, Arceus, has been confirmed. This time, we will try to approach the secret hidden in those Pokémon!"

This is getting strange...what could Arceus and Celebi have to do with each other, if anything at all?...

* (The kanji used to describe Arceus, 幻, is difficult to translate - it's a component of the word for "illusion", but it by itself I think it has a slight connotation of a religious vision.)

Arceus is obviously the notch eared one and has it as its form in HGSS. XD

No, Arceus is god and Notch-Eared Pikachu is Jesus.
Yes sorry I forgot. With out Key Ear Pichu there would be no way into heaven.
Seriously though it seems like Arceus unlocks something. Now this is interesting stuff. We know Platinum up and down by code so I wonder what the hell it could be. If its in HGSS then I get it but if its in platinum then it must be well hidden. :loopy:

Perhaps the Pokemon statue outside of the Unown area will be retconned into being Arceus?

MOAR!

Under the section 秘密1 (Secret 1):

The myth concerning Arceus is related in Platinum! (headline)

When you take the movie Arceus to Oreburgh and Canalave in Platinum, you will be able to hear new information about the myth. (main text)

When you go to Oreburgh coal mine, you can meet a person who is investigating myths. (Oreburgh Mine caption)

Then, in Canalave City, you can meet that person again. Further details of the story will probably be heard. (Canalave caption)

So it involves the movie Arceus...dammit. Maybe there'll be one released outside Japan that will have the same effects, eventually.

So then this will be cool. I cannot wait till July to see what he says. As I said the event Arceus unlocks him or places him in the game.
