Thank You for the information. I really appreciate it.

Sugimori's art style is becoming a lot more dynamic over the years.

Yep, but back in the old days it had a very unique style. Now it looks to me like generic anime art.

That is the "world's most powerful Pokemon?"
It's kinda disappointing. If they said Giratina was the one then I'd say they might be right. But this gold wheeled horse...sigh,
Mewtwo's days are really over.:-/

The main article did say that it was anime artwork. I'm neutral on Sugimori's change in style. It has always sat well with me.

Did they really say 'the world's most powerful Pokémon'?

'Something special' didn't turn out that 'special' to me. Turn-around shot? But I suppose it's rather nice.

It's kind of hard to depict what God looks like, since everyone has a different idea. I think this is a better concept than having Arceus be an old man with a big beard.

Also, I don't even know what Giratina is supposed to look like. It looks like a centipede that had sex with a vampire to me.

His new artwork, especially of Arceus, looks pretty good to me. If you just look at the face it looks nice.

Arceus looks really feminine to me.
I actually really like its design. Yes, it's a wheeled goat. But it's so different from everyone's expectations of some bad ass two-headed man dragon or something along those lines that I can't help but love it.

No, its the universe's most powerful Pokemon :p

When has appearance ever been a direct corolation with power, especially in Pokemon?

Look better. The article features two images. One's foot text indeed reads "anime artwork", but the other one's reads "Sugimori official artwork". And THAT was the one I refered to in my post.

Still, Arceus looks great to me- simple but yet magnificent. That's how a god must look (I mean, if it was the begining of everything, it had to look simple, as things' complexity progress through time, but since Arceus was born before time started to flow...), it's just the artwork I found dissapointing. I don't like the coloring and shading style that Sugimori uses since Gen III, which is even worse (in MY subjective, personal opinion, I disclaim) in his latest piece of work. And Ho-Oh, Lugia, Giratina and Rayquaza (not to mention lots of other non-legendary Pokémon) had great stock poses, but Arceus looks kind of paralyzed. It's not bad, but it could have been better.

Anyways, I'm glad it is finally officially unveiled, specially when it happened on Valentine's Day <3

Anyone have any luck with the screensaver? I tried downloading it and it won't work on my computer... Is it Japan only?

Nice to see that Arceus is offically revealed now and the official Ken Sugimori artwork is cool, too.
