I've noticed a lot of people talking about this lately. When Ash came home from the Hoenn league, they spent 2 or so eps at Pallet Town where most of the main cast was reunited and all of Ash's older Pokemon were shown. The writers did things that had never been done before, such as May meeting Delia, Max and Tracey interacting, Misty getting the off-spring of Tracey's Marill, and Ash showing all his older Pokemon to May and Max.
However, why are people expecting the same thing to happen at the end of Sinnoh? If you remember, the last Pallet Town ep at the end of BF was extremely short and consisted of nothing more than an Ash Vs. Gary battle.
By the time Sinnoh ends, what would be the point of reuniting the main cast again when most of them will not be seen for the next 200 episodes? I also think its a strong possibility that Dawn will never go to Pallet Town, as she will split from the group in Sinnoh instead.
Are people really expecting the writers to bring the entire cast, which now consists of 10+ characters, back together at the end of every region for a Pallet ep? The way I see it, the writers realize the main cast has grown too large, and there's little reason to showcase characters if they're not going to be seen for the entire next 4-year generation anyway.
What do you think? Are the end-of-region Pallet eps going to be downplayed from this point on like the last Battle Frontier Pallet ep, or do you think they'll make a big deal out of it?
