Are there astronauts in the Pokemon world?

Have you ever wondered whether there are people in space in the Pokemon world?

Astronauts or people that actually live in space like the space colonies of the Gundam series?

Obviously there are astronauts. There's a space exhibit in the Pewter city Museum and a Space Center in Mosdeep.

Definitely.
If you have any Gen 1 or Gen 1 remake games, go to the Pewter City Museum.

EDIT: Damn, beaten.

I'm suprised that if their world has such advanced technology, why their astronauts couldn't find the Deoxys meteorite before it crashed...

Also, see Kidd Summers. She's an astronaut part time.

EDIT: And yeah, the guy in Mossdeep Space Center actually says something about astronauts.

But that had to be relativley slowly after being born on their home planet, because both were in a full-grown stage when the one regenerated at the North Pole.

So? Space is a very big place.
It takes a long time to get from any Point A to any Point B. And most things move awfully fast through it also.

Not to mention Deoxys started off as a virus which are microscopic organisms.

But the Deoxys can't grow while being dormant in a fossil.

Otherwise, all ypur Cranidos or Shieldon would die millions of years before you found the fossil.

So they had to have grown up on their native planet before going dormant in the meteorite

But Deoxys wasn't dormant in a fossil? It was a space virus that was mutated be... Space lasers I recall?
(Cheesiest thing ever...)

Deoxys started off as a VIRUS?

Could Deoxys have a biological similiarity to the microscopic organisms/viruses known as POKéRUS?

Also, the POKéRUS organisms, could they be considered Pokémon too?

Struck by SPACE LASERS (lasers) (lasers) or just mutating on exposure to the Earth's atmosphere depending on the game's dex entry.

And technically viruses are between living and non-living iirc. :|a

On-topic, I'm pretty sure there are astronauts as there's some references to them (even to the lunar landing in Pewter Museum) in the anime and games.

Deoxys' name derives from Deoxyribonucaeic Acid (hope I spelled that right), or DNA, which is the main body of a Space Virus. The DNA is protected by a layer of protein, and these have been found attatched to our space shuttels and other such things. So Deoxys is supposed to be a mutated space virus. This I learned a few years ago from NASA's Pokemon TCG Partnership Program, which used Pokemon to teach school children about science - I saw it on their website, I didn't actually attend the program, LOL.

Tate and Liza's father is an astronaut, remember? And the TRio even tried to steal the shuttle.

IIRC in the ep it was said the mission was to search for more Pokemon from space like Solrock and Lunatone.

So how do both of them being fully developed cause it to go slow? There's no friction in space and their weight negligible compared to the rest of the rock, not to mention they were in their dormant state.

Honestly, there are billions of rocks and debris in space, and you expect them to have sent shuttles flying toward them without knowing what to look for?

Its not like they have an "Everything Radar"

The episode before Ash got his 7th badge in Hoenn, Max and Tate actually got to fly a space shuttle ( I think...) S if the have Spaceships, they should have astronauts...
