DP's ending and there's a lot of stuff to go through in the last few episodes, but from what we know, Dawn's not gonna accompany Ash to Pallet Town. That means she won't meet Misty, Delia and Tracey or even Max.

Does that bother you?

Quite frankly considering how lackluster and wooden Misty and May's interactions were, I'm not really disappointed. Even Misty's interactions with Ash and Brock weren't really stellar in her AG appearances, though she did bond with Max.

None of those really compare with Dawn and May's interactions during the Wallace Cup where both had their personalities intact and felt like actual friends.

So I don't really see what the two of them meeting would actually have done for either characters.
 
I guess the writers feel the main cast has grown too large, and if they're just going to keep bringing in new characters every gen anyway, there's no point in having them all meet anymore.

Overall I'm indifferent.
 
I'm not mad, although I would've liked them too. But even if they did meet, Dawn'd still leave anyway, so it doesn't really make much of a difference to me... =P
 
Not at all. What would they have related about anyway? At least Dawn, and May had similar interest. Misty, and May's interaction was fairly meh.

I've noticed since DP started in 2006, people always speculated about Misty meeting Dawn right from the start.

I think they could have related over Piplup at least.
 
I would've liked Dawn and Misty to meet to see their interactions and so all of the girls would've met. But I'm not butthurt over it.

Besides, I was fully satisfied with the Dawn/May interaction so that made up for it.

What's even more ironic is that May came back... for a water tournament!
 
I guess Dawn seeing the Misty lure back in 2007 did seem kinda pointless, but I guess it was intended to be a continuity nod like Ash mentioning Butterfree twice in DP.

Hell, does Dawn even know of Tracey's existence? I think he's the only character that was not even mentioned to her. She at least knows of Max.
 
LOL That's right she doesn't know who Tracey is, how sad. I'm ok on her not meeting Misty, she wasn't the character I was dying for her to meet. Now am I sad she didn't get to go to Ash home town? Yah, sure I am. Cuz I wanted Dawn to meet Ash mother in person but oh wells. I'm not going to cry about it.
 
I'm annoyed Misty never showed up, but I'm not mad she didn't have to put up with Dawn.
 
First of all,im disagreeing with thread maker statement about Mistys interactions with Ash,Brock or May.I liked way she developed as character,feltin in her cameos like she is friends with Ash and brock for a long time having funny moments with them,with her teasing of both(mainly Ash),aswell having certain doze of spunk in herself.

Also her interactions with May were good,becoming good friends with her admiring Misty and her skills.Fact that she saved Mistys life in Mastermind of Mirage pokemon spcial,just strenghtened their friendsip even more respecting each other.

While Dawn and May meeting have more in common becoming strong friends,quite frankly their interacting to me was about as good as MIstys interaction with characters in her cameos not being any more special.

As for topic itself,im not terribly sad about Misty and Dawn never meeting but you could say im little dissapointed.Im sure their meeing would make for a nice episode,findng something in common becoming good friends,but unfortunately this never happened.Judging by Dawns reaction when she sawed Mistys lure in DP,shows how she is interested in Misty probably wanting to meet her,and i guess she will be first girl so far who didnt went to Pallet at all.

Its dissapointing that this great character is ignored in this days so much like it was never part of show in first place,not appearing for 5 years already,with its story never receiving closure but thats wha happens i guess when writers have their priorities set in wrong order.

Well not mad, but I would like to see her. Not because of Dawn though. Ash and Misty were friends after all, and Ash interacting with his old friends would bring him more characther. I would have been completly satisfied, if they had shown Ash talking with Misty in phone like few seconds at least once. Sinnoh League would have been a nice opportunity for that:
"Good luck with your matches Ash!"
"Thanks Misty, bye."
 
Yeah, it would have been nice, but I'm not exactly heartbroken about it. She met up with May and became good friends with her which is enough for me. :shy:
 
Never really expected it, nor did I want to see it. At this point, Misty has no reason to appear anymore and Dawn's on her way out, so a small moment between them would've amounted to nothing more than "Hey there, let's be on friendly terms and not go anywhere with this".
