Art of Pokemon Adventures - No Volumes 1-9??

I just got the Art of Pokemon Adventures book and noticed it doesn't contain any of the art from volumes 1-9. This was disappointing.

Does anyone know if art from the first 9 volumes is collected anywhere else? The only other 2 books I know that have Pokemon Adventures art compiled is the 2016 San Diego comic con exclusive mini book (not sure if this is just a mini "sampler" edition of the full version released last year) and the limited edition version of Pocket Monster Special vol. 50 in Japan (the equivalent series in that country), but I haven't personally seen the content in either.

Can anyone speak to this?

You are referring to this?

I say it has something to do with the artist. As you may know, the original artist of Pokémon Adventures was Mato. She was the leading illustrator and artist for Volume 1-9 until an illness weakened her hand, rendering her unable to draw. Satoshi Yamamoto took over by Volume 10 and it's his works that you see in the art books from this point out.

A pity since I would really love to have an art book featuring Mato's illustrations. Especially her art rendition of Ash Ketchum.

Yes, that is the book I am referring to. That explanation makes sense and clears all this up.

So is Mato's art definitely not collected anywhere else? Does anyone happen to have the limited edition Japanese version of Pocket Monsters Special (Pokemon Adventures) Volume 50 that could speak to whether it has any of Mato's art in it? It looks like the following:

I am similarly wondering the same regarding the 2016 San Diego Comic Con edition of The Art of Pokemon Adventures (shown below):

I'll give you a starting point... provided that you can understand Japanese or have Chrome:

Mato's website is still active and there are hints to her Pokémon Special illustrations.

Well, at least it has the original Mato artworks. Beyond that, I do not know since I had never ordered stuff directly from Japan.
