So I admit I'm pretty bad when it comes to organizing my drawings, so I'm gonna be reposting them in stages over time. Starting with my Pokemon ones! First the newest:

The pun was the reason I drew that in the first place

The Noivern has a name, by the way! She is Rissa, and she is basically an OC at this point; she originated from Violet, then I used her in my fic-verse, and now I have her in my Cobblemon world as my main and ride 'mon Her distinguishing feature in my arts is that she has two head spike things instead of one. That's part of my headcanon that Pokemon can have small morphological differences beyond sizes and colors/markings.

it's all very good but my favorite is the lone watercolor

I love the way you drew the texture on the Noivern's fur collar and all the background; speaking of which, it having all colored lines compared to the duo's black lines really make the Pokémon pop out! and obviously the Joltik is adorable like they always are hehe
the background again looks very good around Dragapult! I love the water lilies and reeds especially... but Espurr and their inimitable stare in the top left steal the show haha
I love Ditto!Espeon's silly smile and his also silly hind legs
I also love the effect the filter and bubbles have on the Milotic's colors... the Luvdisc's too but they're so much smaller so it's not as noticeable!
the Noivern looks so pretty with watercolors! (the cardboard box too) I think the darkness suits her better than the brightness in the first one, but that's the vibrancy of digital art for you
it's so weird to me to see a Typhlosion without their back flames and I love the pun
cheers for the tiniest and most adorable Pokémon spider! hehe, the Pokémon world makes me happy I'm not arachnophobic, that's the tiniest spider around, everything else is at least as big as your arm

Heh, thanks! People tend to love the box bat whenever I show her. That isn't the only watercolor I have of her (another is just her sleeping, it's framed in my room). And the box looks good because of granulation Granulating watercolors are great.

I'll be honest, I don't enjoy digitally painting backgrounds compared to traditional, so I often turn it into texture brush fests. Sometimes I line the backgrounds and sometimes I don't depending on my mood, but hey, I draw for fun, not work, so I think that's fine

Speaking of traditional art, time for the second part: assorted drawings and painting of random things!

I didn't do them every day but rather a couple of times per week, and I was pulling from at least three prompt lists, including the official one and Cat-tober, which is why there are many cats there I drew that with the cheapest ballpoint pen ever, no pencil sketch, all freehand:

That’s interesting - I had a set as a child and to me they were always some sort of dark art and everything I drew looked hideous. But your lovely pictures have inspired me to maybe try again!

Well, it does depend on the quality and brand of the pastels: I have two sets from different (local) brands and they are quite different, with one having thinner but drier... er, sticks I guess, and I don't like it as much. And I just think that after watercolors and acrylics and such, they are pretty easy to get into (but also, the way I was introduced to them was via one of my customers, who is an art teacher, and her students, some of them young kids, used them too). Edit: I find them fairly easy to use because they cover up one another and therefore the mistakes are rather simple to fix. But I also use sponge smudges with them for more precision. You can see one on top of the pastels/glove here (it has a handle):

Noivern is such a friend-shaped fellow and I love them so much, but the way you rendered the foliage and fur here is absolutely stunning!! Great touch to have the palette kind of match all the Pokemon here too.

I've been playing Morimens (a lovecraftian gacha game) and drew a couple of characters (cause I can't play a game for too long without getting distracted by my own inspiration to draw). First Clementine, who is an evil eldritch moth/cicada person and while I don't find her design creepy, apparently it can be unsettling to some (mainly her legs which are kind of mechanical) so be warned:
