In Generation III, when one surfs, it says the water is dyed blue. Why would the water be dyed? Was it artificially created?

It's probably metaphorical, like saying "Natsukashii iro ni mado ga somaru" ("The window is tinted a nostalgic color").

On the other hand, if it was literally dyed blue, then something must be terribly wrong with it or the surrounding land. I'd be a tad creeped out if I could tell that they had to make the water blue because, say, they wanted to hide that they were using milk as "sea water" or to hide all bodies of the poor lab Pokémon under the water for some reason and the seas weren't shallow enough (somehow-or-another o_O).

Yeah, what she said. Besides, never in pokemon was there mentioned the water being fake. And not to mention the enormous amout of dye it would take to do that! :D :D

That may be because they want to show the viewer the ignorance of the people... or something. And extremist Pokémon rights groups (imagine PETP, PRM, and PLF!) aren't mentioned either, but I wouldn't doubt they exist.

They secretly farm Tentacruel and giant Roselia and use their skin and blue flowers to make the dye.

What I'd like to know is if the water from 'Water Gun' or 'Hydro Pump' attacks is safe to drink.

Let's say your in the middle of a desert and your thristy. You release your Squirtle and tell it to use 'Water Gun' into a cup.

Um,yeah.....

I actually wonder that too. o.o But what I'm guessing is that it would probably be the equivilent of drinking spit, since Water Pokemon....well, spit out the water.

You can apparently wash yourself in such water. I seem to remember the gang being hot one time while travelling and Misty sent out her Staryu to cool them down. No idea which episode this was in though. And Pokemon can of course wash each other with their attacks if they wanted to (see Ash sending out Totodile to wet down a dehydrated group of Chinchou).

I believe I recall Squritle putting out a fire in Ash's mouth. So yes, I guess the "water" is safe to drink....

It probably doesn't have the mucous and bacteria content of human/animal saliva.

Right, what water dyed blue?

And I imagine pokemon without the ability to form water. Cause that is too easy. They probably just have a organ to store water in.

I suppose. Its been done on tv :) But to go into sience, i would think that there are cells in the body that use energy to make oxygen and hydrogen molucules. The "water" would be stored inside and kept in HIGH-pressure. When its released, the water comes rushing through a valuve(how do u spell that?) out due to the pressure.

And since its just h
2O, I would assume its safe to drink.

Eh, that and everything it brings up on the way. And if it goes through the gullet I assume some food and saliva would be on the way as well. But then again, it you are in the desert, some tapeworm like thing or death isn't that big a deal.
