Ash already has a childhood friend, a REAL childhood friend and her name was Molly.
she is indeed Ash's FIRST childhoold friend and Ash's mom even took care of her after the disappearance of her parents. though i don't remember much of what the movie was about, since i went to see it with my kid sister because she wanted to see it really really bad, and i sat there half dozing off until the movie was finally over.
Regardless, she was Ash's first childhood friend so i found it hard to see what the fuss with Serena being Ash's childhood friend is all about. But i'll admit that Molly wan't close to Ash in the same way Serena currently is as she harbor no romantic feelings for him and was even angry with Ash and fought him and brock (if i remembered right) Although it's interesting to see that in Serena memory we can see that ash is wearing the same yellow shirt as he wore when he met Molly.
so what do you guys think? any chance of seeing Molly again in the future? in terms of being the legitimate childhood friend of Ash, Molly certainly is one, its a shame that hardly anyone ever talks about her these days, perhaps we'll get to see MANY MORE of ash's myseterious childhood friends in the years to come.
