Ash Father

Who is Ash's father?

Ugh, this is one of the longest running questions ever.

Face it, we will NEVER know who his father is.

I really hate this question.
 
His father left on a pokemon journey when he was a baby he never talks about his father so thats it thats all we know.
 
The only child of Gio we know of for sure in any of the contunuity has red hair, and thus is not Ash.

Of course, teh anime may chose to disregard that.
 
In a book head writer Takeshi Shudo released, it said Satoshi's father and grandfather were powerful Trainers. Hanako's (Delia) mom ran an inn, and one day a wandering Trainer came in when Hanako was eighteen. They got married, and when she got pregnant, he left.

Satoshi's dad is a random deadbeat, that's it. I hope one day Satoshi battles his dad, and beats him down good.

Edit: In LeafGreen/FireRed, a random Team Rocket Grunt on 05 Island says that Sakaki's son has red hair, so I'm betting it's Silver/Kamon.

You and everyone else, including the writers of the Special manga. ... It would be funny if Game Freak just put that in there to make us think it was the GSC Rival.
 
I think Ash's dad is Lance! The scenario I like would be that he married Delia when they were both realy young and his family or job forced him to leave her before Ash was old enough to remember him.
 
Animelee's sounds more plausible.

I hope Ash battles his father and doesn't know it yet they both look no different but Ash feels some sort of inexplainable closeness to him.
