Unfortunately i dont think he will ever leave just his friends will i kinda wish he would but unfortunately he and pikachu kind of make the show. I am not ultra fond of him but alas what can we do...

I think it would make the show better. However, I am really convinced that this is probably a "too little, too late" concept - it likely would not do much to entice older viewers who have grown tired of the show's formulaic concept. On the flip side, it would probably alienate Ash's very large fanbase, even if the character who replaces him is largely the same.

It's not going to happen, He will stay on the show whether people like it or not. And Beside I like Ash.

This. Honestly, do you guys want to see a proper closure to the show that's been going on for a decade now? Because I do.

I'd love to see the 600 episode and 11-year continuity we're watching finally get closure, rather than it being endless.

It will be a damn shame if this show just goes on and on with no real ending. It would arguably feel as if we wasted our time watching, as if the show never got a proper conclusion.

Do you guys really want to be in your 30's and later and still see this show going on? I'd much rather Ash and his friends get the proper ending we've been waiting for since 1998.

It'll be a shame if it doesn't.
