Ash VS Candice. Battle for 7-th badge

Depends on is it a three-on-three, and what Pokémon will Candice have. I think she could have a Snover, Glaceon and Abomasnow, but that's one of the possible scenarios. She probably should have Abomasnow, since there hasn't been a major role for it in the show yet yet.

Maybe he could go with Pikachu, Buizel and Chimchar, but I'm only thinking of this because all the others are weak to Ice-types. Of course, that's not necessarily such a big thing in the anime, so we'll see.
 
Chimchar, though you said he was the exception, seems to be the best choice for the match if she is a Ice user. I mean, if he called in Charizard, he has this match in the bag. Pikachu is a good choice, though he doesn't have any real advantage over ice types, he's still a powerful and quick pokemon.
 
I am sure that Ash will choose Chimchar and Pikachu. Question is about third pokemon. Gliscor, Staravia are weak against ice types. Grotle is too. So Buizel I think will be third one
 
If he does use Pikachu (what am I saying, 'if'?), he could always Iron Tail Candice's pokemon. Isn't steel strong against Ice? I forget...

Oh man, it would be awesome if he called in Charizard. Then we would see the first three Pokemon sweep in a gym battle in anime history.

Who says it's only 3 on 3. I don't know why it would unless they cheat Candice, or they don't know how to make 4 on 4 gym battles, like it is in the game.

This is the most unlikley thing to happen, but if Ash had Torkoal, Chimchar and Charizard, the gym would be a breeze most likley, but I am giving a high chance one of his pokemon will be pikachu, maybe. 99.9% on chimchar.
 
I mean... Gliscor's Fire Fang isn't only for Canalave Gym Battle but in Snowpoint too.

I think
-Chimchar/Monferno (fire type beat ice always o-o)
-Gliscor (Fire Fang + Steel Wing + X-Scissor in Abomasnow)
-Grotle (Like Chimchar before Hearthome, Grotle will be trained in Snover episode)
-Pikachu (Iron Tail) or Staraptor (Beating Abomasnow, but if he learn a new move when evolve this week is most increase its probabilities)

The real question is what Pokés will Candice use, Platinum Team or DP Team.
I mind only 4 X 4 Battles, so could be Abomasnow, Froslass, Sneasel and Piloswine.
 
While that would be awesome, I can't see Ash pulling out all of his old Pokémon all of the sudden, especially since he hasn't done so any sooner. And of course it's not certain that it will be 3-on-3, it most likely will be, or maybe not even that much, since they seem to save the "coolest battles" to the last gym. At least in Johto, Ash mostly used his Johto Pokémon until the eight gym, where he used Snorlax and Charizard again. The battle against Juan at Hoenn was also a little different from the previous ones.

This would be a great chance for Ash to use Cyndaquil again, though. It was quite powerful. And we haven't seen it in ages, although this might be the reason why it won't be used. Heracross would be awesome too, and it's a Fighting-type!
 
If the battle is four on four like in the game, I think Ash'll use Chimchar/Monferno, Pikachu, Staraptor and Buizel/Grotle(accrding to some summary..)
 
Since most of Ash's pokemon have an issue against ice my guess is that something that makes no sence will happen it always happens.
 
Not paying attention much, so sorry if this was mentioned...

But uhh, Medicham is Psychic and fighting. Staravia could be used against it.

Even Abomasnow and Snover are part grass.

Sooo... Chimchar, Pikachu, and Staravia... If a fourth, as there should be... Then that's a toss up, to me.

Assuming that her team is DP, as oppose to Platinum. But if it's Platinum, then Turtwig can be even against Piloswine.
