Ash's Charizard after Episode N

Since Dekolora Adventure is scheduled to begin as soon as Episode N ends, what does this mean for Charizard?
We do know that he is going to participate in M16, due to take place in July, yet there is no official Best Wishes Da media with Charizard in it! M16 is more about Episode N, and they can pull a time paradox if they really want to get rid of Charizard for some reason...

Can this be intentional, and what does that mean for Charizard's future?

It wouldn't be a time paradox. Most movies are just assumed to correspond to the episodes that air around their premiere, but that clearly wasn't the case with Movie 13 (the Sinnoh League had just started) or with Movie 15 (Season 2 had just started, and yet the movie didn't feature Dawn, Meloetta or any old Pokémon).

Can this be intentional, and what does that mean for Charizard's future?

Even if Charizard stayed for the Decolora saga, I don't think he would get to do much due to the lighthearted nature of most of the episodes. Another battle against Iris or Clair's Dragonite wouldn't be particularly interesting.

No, I am not. But I'd rather see a large assortment of Ash's old Pokémon rather than just one, so I care more about Butterfree right now.

Nothing. Some people doubt it is Ash's Butterfree due to the lack of scarf, but I find it silly to think that the writers would recreate an emotional scene with a random Butterfree.

By returning to the Charicific Valley or moving to Oak's ranch. Does it really matter?

I don't see why. Charizard has come and gone many times by now, and even though the circumstances are slightly more special this time around, he still doesn't need a big farewell. That said, it is fairly possible that Charizard will stay at Oak's from now, and in that case we'll get to see him again when Ash returns to Kanto. It is also possible that he will stay with Ash until the end of Best Wishes while not doing anything special on the islands.

I wouldn't call the Clair or Butterfree episodes fillers. But the saga being filler-based should have been obvious from the get-go. The question is what will happen in August and September after the Decolora saga is over.

Plus, I think that the most we will get will be 2 episodes, and this way they will keep the title DA even though these 2 can take place in Unova (They are paralleling DA a lot more to OI than BW did with Kanto)

I don't think we ever saw Charmander and Butterfree interact in any way. Infact, were they even seen next to each other at all? The writers never did those type of "let's feed all of our Pokemon and have a picnic" type deals they do now when you see all of the Pokemon in one group. Of course, they could just show both Charizard and Butterfree and have it look like they're long lost friends. I wouldn't mind seeing that.

My guess is that Charizard is here until BW ends. I hope he stays at Oak's from now on too.
