You gotta feel sorry for Kingler. In the Indigo league its treated like some beginners luck powerhouse where it clean sweeps 3 Pokemon in a row from the same trainer. Then in a second match it beats a Cloyster.

Following that, Kingler is used in the Whirl Cup in Johto. It beats Misty's Poliwhirl, but unfortunately loses to Psyduck's DEM powers.

After that...that was it. Kingler didn't participate in the Johto league, and it didn't get used in AG at all. And now in DP it looks like it is once again sitting out the league.

My only guess is Ash has far too many water Pokemon now and since Kingler isn't a starter or main team Pokemon, it gets left out. Its also odd that Kingler is Ash's only fully evolved water Pokemon. What a shame.

I guess all I can say is that Oak ate it at some point. It's a shame it never appeared again.

No I fucking don't.

He's Mysterious Pokemon Z. He can do anything.

Haha V Faction as awesome as usual :p.

Anyway yeah i feel sorry for the guy, eversince i saw Aipom method of evolution i though pokemons might get and evolution in the future like that(old ones i mean) so if the crab can get even more awesome with an evolution in the next region it might be his chance.

I really feel sad for it not being used in the league i feel that apart from the Tauros it is the pokemon Ash has that doesnt really have a notisable personality, he looks like a happy crab just like Corpish looks like a happy lobster but we dont really know since it never accompained Ash in travels or made anything important besides competitions battles.

The funny thing is Kingler is the only Pokemon left out of both Battle Frontier AND DP.

At least Heracross and Tauros were used in BF, so they're excused from not appearing in Sinnoh. Kingler didn't get either.

Are you kidding? He's a crab that wont stop talking about cookies. Kingler is basically the Cookie Monster of Pokemon.

Yup and i find it strange so i but the dood gets an evolution, ive been secretly hoping him and Torkoal get one in the next generation mwahhha but i want Ash to still have the starters so in a filler or in the league i would accept an evolution.

Metalic Cookie Monster is even betterwith 300% moar pincer power.

He should have been there instead of Corphish... but if my speculation is correct, Corphish won't do a whole lot in the Sinnoh League (i.e. not defeat any pokémon) and it wouldn't have been convincing with Kingler who's fully evolved.

You said that about the Johto starters too... and see, now they're used... Ash will always continue to use all of his Oak'd Pokémon, but there's no time or need for him to use ALL the Oak'd Poké every saga
You can hope to see Kingler battle some time in the BW series... and if RS remakes come true, you might get your precious Sceptile and Swellow there too...

But Kingler has now gone two straight gens without being used...that's the longest ever.

Maybe Ash is just saving him for when he needs him. Ash tends to do that with his powerhouses like Snorlax and Muk, though Charzard is used more often. I do really hope we'll see Kingler used again though, he's awesome.

Contrary to Kingler, Muk has a personality and has shown it but battle wise he hasnt done anything good so how the hell is he a powerhouse? ofc he can get the Oak training and get stronger, only the Johto pokemon eat candy instead of training, those little rascals.

Kingler took Mandi out single handedly and then followed it up by taking out a Cloyster in the following battle. Kingler has been shown to be a stong battler

THats what i said, Kingler showed to be supper strong, Muk didnt.

oh sorry thought you were talking about Kingler. Muk only has one win(against a Bellsprout) so it is in no way a powerhouse.

Yeah he could use some wins, i hope Ash pokemons mostly fights evolved pokemons so their wins look a little more convencing for some guys here.

That still doesn't change the fact Ash can use it in any of the next gens, no matter how long it isn't used...
I thought after they proved you wrong about the Johto starters, you'd stop with the ridiculous "___ will never be used again" thing... I guess I expect too much from you
