Ash's memorable achievements

Hear me out, we all know the narrator calls Ash and co. "heroes" but i think we can all agree that that just stems from him being the protagonist. So let's try and list his most memorable accomplishments and near miraculous achievements, things that really do count him as a hero in the original sense of the word.
 
Hero? Most of the evidence I have of that sources from the movies. Otherwise, he did have a part in taking down TM, TA, and TG. I would call the greatest achievement he may have had battle wise is winning the Battle Frontier, but beating Paul should be recognized merely for the matter that he was such a difficult opponent.
 
Beating the BF. That was a tough ride for the man, bypassing conflict and his pokemon kicked ass in all those Frontier Battles
 
beating Drake, winning the battle frontier, and doing heroic things in the movies.
 
I think it's important to point out which Drake it was that Satoshi beat, or dimwits like me could mistake him for the Elite 4 member instead of the Orange League guy. :D

Important achievements...beating the whole Battle Frontier, winning the Orange League and meeting plenty of legendaries along the way!
 
He saved the world from Mewtwo (Movie 1), Lawrence III (Movie 2), a Mutant Groudon (Movie 6), a pissed-off Arceus (Movie 12), Team Plasma (Season 12). He saved the Kingdom of Rota (Movie 8), the Sea Temple (Movie 9), Alamos Town (Movie 10)...you get the idea.

He saved only forina in movie 6, as it wasn't trying to destroy the world
 
He defeated OI Drake, he completed the Kanto Battle Frontier, he saved the world numerous times... But all in all, he hasn't done much in 724 episodes of the anime.
 
Losing to the winner of a tournament twice. One time he almost one the other he did better than every one else. And since the league carries more weight than anything I think doing that well carries more weight than anything.
 
His GREATEST achievement has to be this though: being tricked by Team Rocket disguises 700 times! That's gotta be a world record, especially since half the time, it is obvious it's JJ&M
