What Pokémon, beyond Turtwig and Staravia, will Ash get in Sinnoh?

As with Pidgeot, maybe Staravia will evolve to Staraptor by Sinnoh League. And maybe Turtwig will evolve. It may already be Torterra by Sinnoh League.
Maybe Aipom will evolve to Ambipom. I'm thinkin' Canalave Gym or earlier.
Obviously, Pikachu will never evolve.

Other than evolution, what Pokémon will Ash capture from the wild?

And what about Brock and Dawn?
I don't think Dawn's Piplup will be Empoleon form by the Sinnoh Grand Festival.
I think Brock's Croagunk will evolve to Toxicroak.
 
For Ash, I'm predicting: Pikachu, Floatzel, Grottle, Staraptor, Magmortar, and a totally random sixth member ala Glalie.

Brock's team will pretty much stay as is.

Dawn: Piplup, Ambipom, Pachirisu, and possibly a Lopunny. Maybe Cyndaquil or Totodile if the GSC remakes are actually made.
 
I think it'd make more sense for Ash to advertise the G/S remakes by bringing back Totodile or Cyndaquil, since neither got the chance to evolve before and Cyndaquil could plug the gap extremely well of the fire types that Ash is gonna struggle to find in Sinnoh (I still don't see Ash with a Magmortar... the only reason anyone keeps saying he'll get one is 'cos it's the only new non starter/legendary fire type...).

I'd like to see him play with his team a lot more this time around than he did in Hoenn - catch some Goddamn Pokemon >=O.

Hikari will probably not really catch anything else - not for a long while yet. I can see them doing a May/Munchlax with her though and giving her one of the first Gen V Pokemon. I don't see Piplup evolving though, unlike Torchic it has an actual personality and is far better suited as Piplup - just like Pikachu.

Brock wont catch anything else. Because he's Brock. The only reason we see Croagunk is 'cos it's got the "stop Brock flirting" gag this time around - and I'd expect Happiny to do the same as Bonsly once it hatches, hang around for an episode then vanish into it's Pokeball for a dozen or more episodes. Hell, we've probably seen Sudowoodo about twice since it evolved..
 
I'm really hoping the writers get over their fears and give him a dark type like Stunky or a dragon like Gible, or a psychic like Bronzor.
 
Dawn shouldn't catch any more she's already pretty much got her whole pagckage there. Ash I hope he catches a rare Pokemon. Ask for Brock I'm with others here he won't catch any more. But hey D/P has suprised us before so who knows.
 
I also would like Cyndaquil to make a return for Ash. His Johto team was definitely handled the worst out of any of Ash's teams since none of them got any character growth with the exception of Bayleef.

The writers pretty much ignored them all in Battle Frontier as well. I guess compared to Ash's Kanto team, (Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charizard), and his AG team, (Sceptile, Swellow, Corphish), the Johto team are bottom of the barrel material according to the writers.

It really isn't fair, especially because Cydaquil, Totodile and Noctowl really deserve more and all three of them have been treated like crap in the anime. I'm really hoping they pull a "Phanpy" with Cyndaquil and have him become a Quilava at least. That would be awesome.

As for Dawn I don't see her team changing much, at least not for a long time. The only change for Brock's team I can see happening is Happiny evolving all the way to Blissey over the course of D/P, and that would be cool since Blissey barely has any screentime in the anime.

Which was partially due to the kanto starters (epsecially Bulbasaur) staying around longer than need be, ask yourself, do the new guys who's turn it is premoted deserve to be cheated in the same mannor, i don't think so. Speaking of Aipom needs to evolve soon as it's starting to do the same thing.

And please, Cyndaquil faught in 5 of the freaking jouto gyms(more than bayleef>>) 2 of which it made the deciding kill and it's last one was regarded as one of it's best battle as it faught underwater against Pyrce's Dewgong.

If their are GS remakes then i say let Dawn and Paul take care of any possible starter action(heck Paul would look great with Feraligatr), let Ash train the new guys who deserve to show off what they can do.

Brock's line in the Clair battle pretty much sealed their fate.

Why stop there, make it go all the way and become typhlosion, no sense in just leaving it as Quilava.

Maybe if theres another filler type saga after sinnoh they could do that, but for right now let the new guys have thier turn to show off what they can do.
 
Ash: Pikachu, Buizel/Floatzel, Staraptor, Torterra, Riolu-Lucario
Dawn: Piplup, Bunneary, Pachirisu, Aipom/Ambipom, Cherubi

I still believe the Aipom/Buizel trade will happen
I'm not sure if Buizel will evolve since it's already really strong
I would prefer Aipom not to evolve but it's the only reason Ash caught it so it will evolve

Staravia obviously will evolve and Turtwig probably will fully evolve to match Paul's Chimchar that I'm sure will fully evolve
Lucario and Cherubi because they fit Ash and Dawn respectively

The only reason to think Bunneary may evolve is the fact that the first feature of the Pokétch (which is also the only out of 2 used until now) is a friendship checker and friendship is how Bunneary evolve but that really doesn't seem that important and Bunneary fits Dawn much better (and also fits Pikachu much more than its evolution)

As I see it Piplup 99% won't evolve - its like Dawn's version of Pikachu and also Kengo already has Prinplup
And I wanted Ash to get Swinub to showcase its new evolution but I know thats not likely

Brock: Sudowoodo, Croagunk/Toxicroak, Blissey
Jessie: Wobbuffet, Seviper, Dustox
James: Cacnea, Mime Jr., Carnivine

Brock had only 3 at a time in AG so it'll probably be the same now
I'm not sure if Croagunk will evolve but it's possible
Blissey really must appear again so Happiny should fully evolve
I don't think Jessie or James will release any of their Pokémon because if that was the case it would already happen by now
I don't think they'll let Jessie/James have more than 3 Pokémon each so sadly I don't think Jessie will catch anything soon (I wanted her to get Kricketot but it doesn't seem likely now)

Paul: Electivire, Infernape, Honchkrow, Stunky, Shellos-Blue
Zoey: Glameow, Mismagius, Shellos-Pink, Magmortar

Paul's first three are obviously will fully evolve
Zoey's Misdreavus obviously will evolve
I think because Misdreavus/Murkrow that maybe they'll give Paul and Zoey "counterparts"

And Stunky does fits Paul in my opinion (and it may evolve)
Magmortar because Paul's Electivire (and if this really happen she'll probably catch it as a Magby) and also it fits her because of its colors
Zoey said she'll catch a water type so I guess it'll be Shellos and thats also why I think Paul will get the other Shellos (and if they'll get them they probably will evolve)

Nando: Roserade, Sunflora, Kricketune, Chingling
The first is again obvious
The last two I think fit him but we can't be sure currently if he'll have only Grass types or not

Gary: Magmortar
Gary was the one that showcased Electivire so he may also showcase Magmortar (and he does have a Magmar)
It can also be nice that Gary got those two and Paul and Zoey will have their first form and evetually will evolve too

I really don't know what to predict for Kengo... maybe Shinx as a rival to Dawn's Pachirisu? Piplup/Prinplup and Bunneary/Glameow are "rivals"
Pachirisu should also get a rival
 
And this is why Pokemon fans have the reputation of being among the stupidest fandoms in existence.
Ash has Aipom.
Dawn has Buizel.
GET OVER IT.

I'm personally hoping for Stunky, though it might fit Jessie better.
 
Uh, we know they have them at the moment. That doesn't change the fact that there is a lot pointing towards a trade. It's the constant arguing against things that are very simple that is stupid in the fandom.

It would be a good counterpart for Paul's Elekid. Though between Magmortar and Quilava, I'd pick the latter.

You mean like cast changes? Yeah, I'm still trying to wrap my mind around why people have problems with those as well.

This may sound fan related, but i want to see ash or any other main pokemon character to catch a mawile, i see ash having one, like i think him having a mawile would suit him.
It seems kind of like ash forgot about his muk, muk hasn't been used for a long time.
I think it would be cool if ash caught a ghost pokemon like Spiritomb or a Drifloon or Mismagius.
 
Would be cool to see Ash with a ghost type. Zoey is going to have a Masmagius though.

Ash with Spiritomb could work, Drifloon probably won't happen since it had a filler already.
 
As much as I'd love Ash to get a Spiritomb (although, that thing seems to be one of the most hated Pokemon ever for some odd reason), having an embodiment of evil at his disposal seems...odd?
 
Weren't Drifloon supposed to drag children to hell? They were depicted as the cutest ghost types ever. I could see Spiritomb becoming the new Haunter.
 
I can see Ash with Pikachu, Staraptor, Torterra, Quilava, Larvitar, and Gallade at the end, with Ambipom, and a Finneon being Oaked.
 
Why Larvitar? And after the disaster that was Misty's Goldeen, the writers aren't going to give the gang another one of those fish Pokemon that can't battle on land.
 
I'd love to see Ash with a legandary Pokemon I really would. Or a fire type, I love fire type. Or a Dragon type...I'm just excited to see what he catches soon.

Hated!? The first time i saw a picture of spiritomb i thought it was soo cool, which i still think.

Another fire type would be cool, he only has three, i think or more i dont remember i will have to see how many.

I think it would be cool if his old lapras showed up, not saying that he would catch it again but just to see it again although it would be prety hard since there are a gajillion other laprases.

I Think it'd be cool for ash to get a snover.
