I place to discuss which of Ash's many pokemon he has had so far are real powerhouses... Wanted to say more but thats it so basically post about Ash's pokemon and which you think are his powerhouse pokemon and why...

I have to say Charizard cause it gets constant training moreover it is the pokemon on his squad that has the biggest moveset...

I'll post more later.

Seriously, how could you forget Pikachu? The thing is too damn powerful for a Pikachu! o.o

Pikachu for sure. He's had it the longest, thus meaning he has trained it the longest. Besides, his typing is super effective against Charizard's.

There's no denying that some of Ash's Pokemon are significantly better than others.

Pikachu, Charizard, Snorlax, Sceptile, Swellow, Infernape.

Pikachu
Charizard
Snorlax
Sceptile

Infernape
Torterra

Glalie
Heracross
Swellow

Heracross for sure. It got some real wicked moves, and it has the power to freeze you in terror with its tongue.

I'd say Pikachu, Charizard, Snorlax, Sceptile, Glalie, Torterra, Infernape.

Charizard
Sceptile
Snorlax
Infernape
Swellow
Pikachu

P.S. Torterra??? You must be kidding )))

Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charizard, Snorlax, Swellow, and Sceptile.

To a lesser extent
Squirtle, Quilava, Heracross, Corphish, Glalie, Staraptor, Torterra, Infernape, and Buizel.

It is in my personal opinion that you cannot call something a powerhouse unless it has many appearances or 'skirmishes'.

It must possess a uniquely significant quality.

Both Ash's Infernape and Torterra are indeed strong. They're fully evolved and possess good skills. I don't want to start calling them powerhouses till after the Paul fight, however, because some BIG skirmishes are bound to take place there. The League Tournament is pretty much the "proving grounds".

The Big 4, without question I would put as Pikachu, Charizard, Snorlax, and Sceptile. The ones I'm teetering on include Heracross, Swellow, Donphan, and Glalie. Though, after Heracross's performance in his last fight and Donphan's performance in his, I'm thinking about bumping up Heracross into the "No Question" group and keeping Donphan on a lesser tier. Swellow has great power and stamina, but I don't know if he could match the extra qualities of the others. Glalie pulled out some slick stuff back in the day. Trouble is, we haven't seen much else of him.

Pikachu, Charizard, Snorlax, Sceptile, Swellow, Infernape, Glalie, Donphan, and Heracross are pokemon I see are powerhouses but tbh, I do think that in the anime, anyone can be a powerhouse in certain battles and stuff.
