Welcome to Assassin in the Palace. This game is classified as "Non-Mafia" because it is essentially the opposite of a game of Mafia: Where Mafia is defined as an uninformed majority against an informed minority where the game is divided into "Day" and "Night" phases, this game features an uninformed minority against an informed majority in a game with only "Day" phases.


The Setup:

1 King: Wins by surviving to the end of the game.

1 Assassin: Wins by killing the King - has one Vig-shot to use to try to kill the King. This can (and should) be used immediately after the Assassin's death (the Assassin will have 24 hours to use their shot after being lynched).

X Guards: All guards know who the King is and will win if the King survives to the end of the game (if the Assassin shoots the King, the King and Guards will lose).


Play Advice:

King and Guards: Remember that you must avoid giving away who the King is at all costs. Even if you've caught the Assassin he can still shoot the King immediately after being lynched, so beware...

Assassin: You can use your single Vig-shot at any time in the game, but if you use it on anyone other than the King you will auto-lose (as you'll never manage to lynch the King - all the Guards know who he is). It is advised that you do not shoot until you are lynched.​

That's really all there is to it.

2. Play to fulfill your win condition.

5. You may not post screenshots of your Role PM.

Phases will last 24 hours and will update at midnight U.S. CST.

I know I am new but I have played and hosted mafia games in other foroums and I have read the rules for this alternative version so don't worry I won't mess thing up.
