Crazy theory but what is aster was az s Flote? In the 3000 years since Flote left az it had to go somewhere maybe it went to hoenn which led az there to witness the primal Pokemon and plant that tree. Flote stayed in hoenn perhaps traveled to all regions but in the final few years before xy it met Zinnia and they became friends. But Flote sensed az was beginning to change and left for Kalos. Would make for an interesting plot in z.
