I'm not sure how this is going to change the show (though a show with freaky sponge/squirrel mutant children might be interesting), but SpongeBob SquarePants is getting married! Yes, the yellow square will finally tie the knot with the lady squirrel in the bowl, Sandy.

Entertainment Weekly has an exclusive sneak peek of the SpongeBob wedding. Guests will include Tina Fey, Ricky Gervais, LeBron James, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, Will Ferrell, Craig Ferguson, and Rosario Dawson and Robbin Williams

Reading the article, this is a flashback, which either implies a wrongly-remembered memory or that they were married at some point and divorced.
 
What the fuck is this madness. If its just one of those memories distorted to make one person happen thing its okay but otherwise no just no. But the use of Eleventy Seven is okay for me.
 
So this is a future flashback thing. Still though, weird.

If it really did happen in a way that would affect the show it would be a bigger jump the shark moment than baby Poof on The Fairly Oddparents.
 
I'm pretty sure this may be the series ending, I wouldn't call it jumping the shark.
 
So the series ending involves an episode where they remember the past 20 or so years involving sponge-bob and Sandy getting married? Still what the fuck for me.
 
This can't be in the future, can it? It seems like Spongebob to have a flashback ending, but..
 
I guess Nick telling the crew they couldn't finish the show after the movie was a good thing, sort of like Kim Possible.
 
It's for the 10th anniversary, I heard about it on the radio this morning.
 
Spongebob makes me feel old.
I'm disappointed. I love the show, but hate Sandy. I despise her character.
