Dude, what did you do to my contributions? You got rid of ALL trace of the character art that I had uploaded.
Compare this (the last version of the page as I had left it):
http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/w/index.php?title=Pokémon_Gold_and_Silver_Beta&oldid=43472

to this (My page after Zhen Lin's "improvments"):
http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pokemon_Gold/Silver_Beta

You first give me a warning to change the wiki to the proper format. I couldn't due to having to take a friend of mine to the hospital the night before last and he had to stay overnight. I check my page this morning and you've completely screwed up the structure that I had. What you could've done was sent me a list of changes that might make the wiki page better. I can stand a little bit of editing but when it is full-blown destruction of work (like the complete deletion of Pokemon GS character art from 1997/1998) that's when I get upset. So, I would very much like you to restore my pages to the state that they were when I left them. If you could also send me a list of suggestions on how to improve my pages, I would greatly appreciate it.

Copying from celebi23's Bulbapedia talk page:

I don't think you understand the idea behind the Wiki system. Anyone can edit, as it states at the bottom of every edit page: If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly and redistributed at will, then don't submit it here. Trust me, it does work out this way if you are willing to accept changes.

Moaning won't get you anywhere. An intelligent discussion on how to improve it, we can do.

The two links you posted are the same page, so it is difficult for me to see what was changed. From what I can tell, he moved the content of your subpages to the main Beta page, which makes sense given the context of a wiki.

As FabuVinny pointed out, the point of a wiki is that anyone can edit. I've worked for many hours on long projects only to have them changed to the point of it seeming like I did nothing. Yes, it will make you temporarily angry, but things work out for the best in the long run.

In any case, this should have been resolved through talk pages and/or private messages. I'll expect the conversation to continue there.

Wikis are essentially open source.

You put your work up, as it's been previously said, you risk getting slaughtered on the edits. It's happened to me and I'm the Editor-in-Chief of the project, although I've stepped back from it mostly.

Your 'structure' is not by any means the most proper or the most correct one. We have a manual of style, which you can find without much digging at all, and the layout of any well-done page--the Type pages, or the Bulbasaur page, or the Brock page, among others--will give you an idea of how things are structured.
