August 7th episode title revealed

"Offer"? Doesn't kaikou mean "starting to attend"?
Or are my crappy Japanese skills acting up again?

This is the first year in three that I'm NOT going to summer school. Yay Air Conditioning! Do I hear a starter evolution?

This is what I got in the dictionary I used:

* 開講 【かいこう】 (n,vs) (1) holding a course (of lectures); offering a course; (2) beginning a series of one's lectures; starting a new course; ED

Since none of those would really work in an episode title without sounding all awkward and Engrish-y, I decided to just translate it as "offer" (as in the offer of starting a course) and be done with it.

The Newtype is up and has information on this episode and the one before it. Just need someone to translate it though.

"Satoshi and his friends have decided to participate in a 'Pokemon Summer School,' a school where trainers spend a week together while attending special lessons about pokemon. Satoshi and his friends' first challenge is to pick a random Monster Ball and raise and battle with the pokemon inside..."

Screenplay: Yonemura Shouji
Production, Storyboard: Yamada Hiroyuki
Animation Director: Natsume Kunihiko

Oh no, another recycled plot? If 87 is inconsequential then it looks like we're heading into a filler arc! D=

Sweet, it sounds like that Ultimate Test episode in Kanto. That one was a goody.

Well, this looks interesting. Maybe Jessie will get disqualified again=p.
It'll be funny thisw time if Ash picks Carnivine or something and it eats him.

Huh. You'd think they'd be past the stage where they'd have much to learn about pokemon training from school teachers. Even Hikari would be a stretch, she's become rather experienced at this point in the series.

I like how it seems to be another battle oriented episode, although its really all we get nowadays.

It seems like Sinnoh, despite being as long as Johto, has avoided its pitfalls of making episodes about Ash helping bland filler kids with problems, and instead fill the time with tournaments and battle-centric episodes.

Do you also notice Team Rocket doesn't steal Pikachu as much as they used to? Or at least its not happening in every episode anymore.

There's also a summary for the Psyduck episode
It'd be nice if someone can translate it

This could be interesting just to see what random pokemon everyone gets foisted with.

They could be entering only for the sake of picking a random pokémon and learning to battle with it for a week. Just because they're more experienced now doesn't mean they wouldn't want to miss something fun like this.

Ah, a filler.

Seems just as useless as Summer Schools.

OMG. No mention of Shirona-sama in Newtype's Koduck Episode summary. OMG. It would suck if she doesn't appear. She (and her Secret Medicine) is the only one who makes this game detail deserve its episode.
