Is the availability of Pokemon TFG figures regional or something? I know a new set is about to come out, but so far all I've been able to find is Next Quest. Or did PUSA just kill it from disinterest?

Next Quest is the first and only set for now. Groundbreakers will be released April 2nd. The Groundbreakers starters are available since Nov last year, and can be found if you search around.

...I can't say I've seen them. All I've seen in Indy is the Next Quest starter sets. I may have to go to that dark place called Ebay to complete my current collection.

What stores are you looking in?

I saw a whole display of them in FAO Schwartz. The Groundbreakers set included. (In fact, that was the reason why my friend dragged me to that overpriced toy-h#ll)

I saw some in my local comic shop too. I'd say it's regional. (Do you live in the US?)

I'm not really into the figure thing. It's like overpriced Pokemon cards. Besides, they kinda look like stuff you'd get out of a gumball machine.

I live in Indianapolis. It's on my profile.

FAO Schwartz has been dead in Indy since 2002 at least. The comic shop I buy mine at (since they're cheapest there) just has Next Quest, but maybe I didn't look hard enough last time.

And they look like something out of a gumball machine? Hey now. I've got them lined up on my dresser next to my Rozen Maiden models and they look AWESOME... almost better than the RM ones, if I dare say so.

Unless you mean "Japanese gumball machine" in terms of the neat little model kits you can get out of the gacha machines...

Is FAO carrying the Groundbreaker boosters, or just the starter sets?

Not sure. It was a serious display though (cheesy music and all). My friend spent like, 50 bucks, so they must've been the boosters. (Seriously, 50 bucks on little figurine things? That's like, the price of two real looking fake D&G bags, a date to the movies, or a pair of jeans)

BTW, I'm talking about the Piano on the floor (though it never works) unnecessarily big FAO Schwartz in Manhattan. (That's how much my friend wanted the plastic figures)
