This is set in the Avatar: The Last Airbender Universe. This is based sometime before the events of that. You may know me as the author of The Flaming Journey of... But don't worry, it will be updated weekly.
And now I give you this Prologue to enjoy:
Avatar: The Legend of Naku
Book 1: Earth
Chapter: Prologue
“It can’t be, it’s impossible!” A man in a dark green tunic shouts.
“The Avatar Cycle never falters. This child is the Avatar.” A miserly old man says holding up four toys the baby had chosen at random.
“But, the Avatar isn’t dead; in fact Avatar Korchen is in great health.” The first man states clearly.
A woman walks up with an envelope and does a slight bow to the both of them. “I’m sorry sir, your wife; Avatar Korchen has passed away,”
The first man broke down as his knees buckle from shock, “My wife, it’s impossible.” The man starts, anger then flared up in his eyes, “The baby, if it hadn’t picked those toys. My wife would have been alive right now.” The man’s fists then lit up with fire and he ran towards the baby.
The miserly old man jumps in the way and bends the ground around him into quicksand, attempting to stop the man from moving.
Unfortunately the Firebender jumps over the quick sand and sends a full power Fire Blast at the baby’s head.
The baby screamed as its eyes lit up in a bright flash of light.
It had activated the Avatar State. The baby boy produced a Water Whip and destroyed the blast of fire, the child then sent a full power gust of air into the assailant. The man crashed through the wall, and flew off the mountain from the force of the attack.
The baby then fell into its cradle, and fell asleep from the energy loss.
The old man walks over to the baby, “I’ll be watching, and protecting.” He whispers and places a White Lotus symbol on the bed and walks away…
