The Concept
The primary setting of BioShock Infinite is a city suspended in the air by giant blimps and balloons, called "Columbia", named in homage to the "female personification" of the United States. Unlike the secret development of the underwater city of Rapture, Columbia was built and launched in 1900 by the American government to much fanfare and publicity. The city was meant to symbolize the ideas of exceptionalism; On the surface, Columbia appeared to be designed as a floating "Worlds Fair" that could travel across the globe; however, some time after its launch but before this RPs events, the city was revealed to be a well-armed battleship, and became involved in an "international incident" by firing upon a group of Chinese civilians during the Boxer Rebellion. The city was disavowed by the United States government, and the location of the city was soon lost to everyone else.
The Sky Lines
As a member of the Columbia population, new or not, you will be able to access the iconic Sky Lines of Columbia. The Sky Line system is a roller coaster like rail that interconnects and loops around the floating city. Using a grappling hook you will be able to use the Sky Lines and use them for your own purpose. Originally the Sky Lines were used for trade and product and carriages, but as the civil war became apparent, more people decided to use it for combat. You can use the system however you like.

The Factions
As a result of the city's isolation, a civil war eventually broke out on Columbia between different factions of citizens, each trying to seize control of the city from the powers-that-be. In this RP, only two main factions remain. One group are the Founders, the remnants of those retaining power over the city led by Zachary Hale Comstock. This is the city's ruling class, which seeks to keep Columbia purely for American citizens while denying foreigners the same privileges.
The other is a group named Vox Populi (Latin for "voice of the people"), a rag-tag resistance group opposed to the ultranationalists led by Daisy Fitzroy. The Vox Populi is formed from several factions with similar ideologies that fought to seize control and restore the rights of Columbia citizenship to all. However, years of war and struggle have driven the Vox Populi to fight the powers-that-be solely out of blind hatred, resulting in more violent and brutal methods and leading to subfactions in the group.

The Songbird
The Songbird is a 30ft winged bird like creature that stalks the city of Columbia. Traditionally it was made and used by the Founders, but now it is free of rein. It possesses the ability to fly and destroy as it wishes and it obeys no one. It is controlled in this RP by the GM. Here is an image of the Songbird.

Nostrums (Powers and Abilities)
Nostrums are permanent changes to the character and cannot be removed once used. They come in abilities, (such as free running and power bounces) to powers (such as the power to throw fireballs or summon crows) These come in two types, stable and unstable varieties, the latter referred to as "potlucks". Stable nostrums are more rare and harder to find, but the player knows exactly what effect applying the nostrum will gain them. Unstable nostrums are easier and more common but the player will not know what they have taken until the GM tells them so. Nostrums are placed by the GM in the RP and no other play may place them. The GM and the GM only decides what effects the Nostrums (unstable or stable) do to your character.

You play either a citizen of Columbia or a newcomer who has for some reason been stranded on the floating city. The war is tense and brutal. Your job is to play a role in Columbia, whether it be the role of one of the two vicious opposing factions or an innocent caught in the crossfire. Its down to you. Everyone is already equipped with a Sky Hook to travel using the Sky Lines.
If you choose to have a weapon it must be one that was made in the early 20th century. Nostrums are attainable but you cannot have their abilities on your start up. You must attain them as the RP progresses.
