"Hi. My name is Fairy Ice Ricky, and I have a backlog problem."

So after seeing this idea elsewhere (I know, I'm so creative...), I thought it'd be cool if we had a place to discuss our backlogs--both big and small--as a way to help us get through & complete our games. We can talk about our progress, give people advice on how to finish their backlogs, and eventually reach a backlog-free world. :P And just an fyi, "completing a game" means whatever you want it to mean. Whether it's completing the main story, collecting every trophy, unlocking every unlockable, whatever--you set your goals, and we'll give you the motivation to help reach them!

I'll start with mine. It's a doozy... (Also, I consider a game complete when I complete the main story.)

Tier 1
Pokémon Omega Ruby
The Uncharted Series (Drake's Fortune, Among Thieves, Drake's Deception)
Fantasy Life
Xenoblade Chronicles
Saints Row IV: National Treasure Edition

Tier 2
[Pokémon Alpha Sapphire]
The Mass Effect Series (Mass Effect, 2, and 3)
Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Tier 3
The Last of Us
DmC: Devil May Cry
Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch
The inFamous Collection
Spider-Man 2
Pokémon Battle Trozei
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD
Sleeping Dogs

Tier 4
Mario Kart 8
Super Smash Bros. for 3DS
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U

That's right, a whopping 24 games! So I decided to break my backlog into tiers, with games in the higher tiers having higher priority, and with Tier 4 being games that don't have any real completion to them. (Except I still need to get Duck Hunt in Smash 3DS, sooo...) Within tiers games aren't listed in any particular order, except for Omega Ruby because I know it's going to take over my life once I have it. After that, and after messing with Smash Wii U for a bit, I'm going to continue with Fantasy Life on the portable console front, and both Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Xenoblade Chronicles simultaneously on the home console front. As for Saints Row... honestly I'm having a lot of fun just driving all over the place and causing mischief, haha. But I like the game too much not to finish it, so I'll play that after Uncharted.
Alright y'all, share your backlog!

Hi, my name is Chibster and I have a huge backlog problem! I have so many games I still need to finish and the thought of it actually stresses me out. I think my huge backlog resulted from buying and/or playing more than one game at once (which I am currently doing again..). I think putting our backlogs into tiers is a great idea!

Oh, no. Now I remembered all the games I have to play...

Anyway... The list. Separated into tiers like many others here have....

Tier 1:
Ocarina of Time: 3D
Skyward Sword
Pokemon Sapphire

Tier 2:
Animal Crossing: New Leaf (CAN it be finished?)
Pokemon LeafGreen
Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones

Tier 3:

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS (low b/c the only single-player thing I count as completion is Master Core 9.0)
Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War
Fire Emblem: Gaiden
Fire Emblem: Binding Blade
Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken
Fire Emblem: Na, just messing with you, there's no more

Also, mine doesn't feel nearly so large looking at all your guy's, geez...

Glad to see some responses to this! :D And good luck to all of you on your list-shrinking quests. Has anyone figured out how they plan on tackling their lists yet?

I've decided to complete at least one chapter a day for Uncharted, which means that I should be able to complete this game by the end of November. This also means that I may be finished with Uncharted by the time I pick up Xenoblade Chronicles again, so I may play Dragon Age: Origins or Mass Effect simultaneously instead. I'm a little nervous because these are three huge RPG games, so the thought of playing two of them at the same time may tire me out, but I'll at least give it a try and see what happens from there.

Also, I randomly spent Sunday night unlocking the rest of the characters I needed to in Smash 3DS, so I guess that game's a little more complete now, haha.

Unfortunately with school I have little free time so I'll probably wait until summer to fix mine

I just picked up Dragon Age Inquisition and Pokemon comes out this Friday so Ill be stuck on those for awhile. When I need a break from those Ill play something on my 3ds I'm close to beating like Bravely Default.

LOL I like this thread quite a bit:

Tier 1:

Halo: Master Chief Collection (so I have to replay the first four numbered Halo games now)
Destiny (complete main story)
Sunset Overdrive
Assassin's Creed: Unity
Assassin's Creed: Black Flag (complete again on my Xbone)
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Final Fantasy 14 (series)
Bravely Default

Tier 2:

Far Cry 3
Far Cry 4
Dishonored
Hotline Miami
DMC (didn't finish Hell and Hell difficulty yet)

Tier 3:

Every other game that I've picked up the last couple of Steam Sales (I have 25 or so games that I haven't even installed yet)

Unfortunately with school I have little free time so I'll probably wait until summer to fix mine

Ugh, same! I usually only complete 2-3 games each summer, which will further slow down my progress in shrinking my backlog. >.<

I've actually been able to squeeze an hour or two to play something over the weekend, if I don't have much school work.

All right, I guess I'll share my list, too. I will only list games that I currently own, and not ones that I plan to eventually get (i.e.: Pokémon OR/AS):

Tier 1:
Final Fantasy Tactics
Final Fantasy VI Advance
Final Fantasy IX
Bioshock Infinite
Far Cry
Grandia
Mount & Blade

Tier 2:
Final Fantasy VIII
Neverwinter Nights: Kingmaker (modules)
Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer (+ other expansions)
Dragon Quest VI
Perfect Dark
Metroid Prime
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

Tier 3:
Xenogears
Ultima VII complete
Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike

As for how I’ll compress this list… well, I don't really have any kind of plan other than to just play the games. But I just know I'll be taking advantage of Black Friday, that will add to the list; not to mention Christmas. -_-

Hello! I'm spiderbrush, and my backlog is... incredibly big. I have so many games I've still yet to beat, and even start! Anyway, here is my list:

PS3:
Valkyria Chronicles
Star Ocean: The Last Hope International
Disgaea
Disgaea 2
Odin Sphere
GrimGrimoire

Wii:
Pandora's Tower

Gamecube:
Skies of Arcadia: Legends

DS:
Dragon Quest 5
Dragon Quest 6
Chrono Trigger
Rune Factory 3
Radiant Historia

3DS:
Bravely Default
Rune Factory 4
Tales of the Abyss*

*I'm currently playing right now, but I just KNOW I'll put it off again once I get Alpha Sapphire!

So, yeah. Quite a bit! (And I'm even planning on buying a couple more PS3 games, which will just push back those games even further...) Most likely due to school work, which is of course more important. But with so many games, playing and beating them all will take... quite a bit?!

I can finally cross Fire Emblem: Awakening off my backlog! :D

Sooo yeah, I've pretty much been on a struggle bus gaming-wise.

Since my last post I haven't even turned on my PS3, let alone played any games on it, due to work and Omega Ruby, so I've made absolutely no progress in Uncharted, and I probably won't be able to until some time in December. And speaking of, I'm moving way more slowly in OR than I was anticipating. Which is good 'cause I want to take my time with this game, but it's also bad because that's less time with other games, like Fantasy Life. And finally, I recently bought Super Mario 3D World, and I'm planning to pick up Watch Dogs during Black Friday sales, so there are now two more games on my list... @__@;;

... But! my HORI Battle Pad came recently, so I'll be able to pick up Xenoblade Chronicles again, most likely after I finish OR and spend more time with Smash Wii U (I found using the Wii Remote + Nunchuk combo as... not ideal, to say the least, so it'll be nice to try a "Classic Controller" instead.) So I guess it's back to the original Uncharted/Xenoblade plan for me.

Tier 3:

Every other game that I've picked up the last couple of Steam Sales (I have 25 or so games that I haven't even installed yet)

This is one of those moments I'm happy that I don't have a proper PC gaming rig, 'cause otherwise I know my list would be much longer. Stay away from the Autumn Sale!

I can finally cross Fire Emblem: Awakening off my backlog! :D

Sweet, congrats on finishing! :) I guess ORAS is next on your list?

Just finished the story of Alpha Sapphire now I'm on to finishing Bravely Default!

Just finished Dragon Age Inquisition! Now I'm going to work on FINALLY finish Bravely Default.
Guess this is technically a double post. Hope that's not a problem?

I probably have around 30 or something games I bought that I haven't started and played yet.
I'm currently juggling between these games:
1. Persona Q (3DS)
2. Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies (3DS)
3. Animal Crossing (3DS)
4. Dragon Age Inquisition (PC)
5. Borderlands Pre-Sequel (PC)
6. I have no mouth, and I must scream (PC)

Out of the 6, I'm almost done with Persona Q.

edit: I forgot that I played Pokemon Alpha Sapphire. I stopped when I got to Mauville City. I got bored from it.

I'm really enjoying playing Chrono Cross right now. I used to have nothing but stressful thoughts while playing. Now since I'm on winter break, I'm able to relax and play! I haven't felt this way since playing through Okami back in July-August!

I finished Far Cry (a while ago, actually), and didn't really enjoy Mount & Blade much and decided to drop it - good thing I got it as a special free deal. And I can see a few other games in my backlog may not be enjoyable enough for me to ever bother finishing them. We'll see. Right now, though, I'm working on Dragon Quest VI...and clearly I don't think this series is quite my kind of RPG series. But I'll get through it.

Course I've also gotten more games since last time to add to the list, and I didn't mention the games that have replay value - Mass Effect, Dragon Age (which I am also playing again), etc. - will also eat up time going through this list. But I'll make sure to prioritize the uncompleted games above all.
