One of my main bad habits would be buying a game while I have so many I already need to finish! Yesterday, I bought Chrono Cross from Amazon even though I'm already continuing playing through Dragon Quest VIII and I already have so many games on my backlog!

Here's a werid one for you right off the bat: in games with grid-based worlds, like Pokémon, I tend to hug the walls to my character's left. I don't know why, but there you go.

My worst habit is my terrible posture while playing. I'll be hunched over my system for a pretty long time, and the damage is starting to show through cramped upper back and nasty headaches. Another one might just be playing for too long at a time.

I basically have the bad habits BlackOsprey and BadAssGardevior do, but I also forget to save unless prompted to, especially at the beginning of the game. Many a playthrough have died because of it.

I have a weird habit where I will jerk the analog, and it's worse when I play a 3d game. I just flick it a little, enough to just jerk the camera a bit. Don't know why I do that.

Pausing the game and going to my laptop. This is why I rarely play multiplayer.

I have a really bad habit of playing a new game non stop until right before the final boss. I save before the boss and then quit playing the game for like a year.

I'm not really sure if this is a bad habit per se, but I tend to save compulsively. Sometimes, I'll save, and then forget that I saved, and then save again just in case. :P

I have a tendency to lose intensest in a game if I see someone else finish it.

Bobbing my head whenever I finished a level in a Kirby game. (can you blame that catchy tune?)

I do the same thing, too. Only instead of the left, I'll be hugging the right.

Another habit I have is I'll always jerk my body and my controller in whatever direction I am trying to get my character to jump, as if doing that is going to make my character jump any higher. It's just a habit I have had since I first started playing games, and apparently never grew out of.

I don't think it's bad per say, but I don't play my handhelds much unless I'm laying down.

I don't think I have any odd habits in game but when i'm playing on a games console (particularly the PS3) I tend do move the controller around too much. Especially when it comes to driving in games, I sometimes use the controller as if it were a steering wheel. I get laughed at a lot when friends see me do it. I don't even realise i'm doing it. I also have a habit of biting my lip when i'm concentrating hard.

I think I do the same, too. Doing so makes me want to fall asleep after 30 minutes of playing! xD

Extremely bad finishing game procrastinating. Probably half my library haven't been beaten by me

I do that all the time.

I get pressured during limited time tasks.I end up messing up half the time.I also get sidetracked in The Legend of Zelda:Twilight Princess REALLY easily. Most RPGs,actually. But it's worse in Twilight Princess because I may be going to do something, get distracted by someone or the need to buy items, and then I forget.Sadly that thing is never done for a while.

I've had the Gary Oak Effect since I was a child. Compulsively saving in Pokémon before and after every battle and after every time I heal or fly somewhere, because he would show up out of nowhere. Too many runthroughs of Yellow as a kid scarred me forever, and the paranoia continues into newer Pokémon games as well. All because of one pixelated child.

I thought that was bad until I played Fallout 3 for the first time. I started to save before and after talking to anybody, attacking anything, walking around any corner, etc. Basically anything that could affect the game in any way, since it's open world as opposed to Pokémon's mostly linear story.

And then I started playing Skyrim for the first time a few months ago, and it got even worse. In the 205 hours I have clocked since mid-September, I have saved between 3,500-4,000 times, which works out to an average of 17-20 saves per hour. Doesn't seem like much, but that's once every 3 minutes or so, and it's just an average. Sometimes I'll save 20 times in 5 minutes, sometimes I'll save once in 20 minutes because I'm just moseying around without doing anything save-worthy, so I forget.

I know it's never a bad thing to be careful and save, but the amount of times I do it out of habit is absolutely ridiculous.

Compulsive saving, sitting too close to the TV, hoarding items/money, playing until my hands ache and I can't stay out of trouble in sandbox games.

I'm a part of the "huge backlog/can't finish a game for the life of me" group. I have 14 games for my PS3 and I've only touched maybe five of them, if that. @__@;;
