Nintendo is banning people from wifi if using cheats (from action reply and stuff) Like using the nintendo events pokemon. I wondering how would they banned someone and how would they find out (maybe we can report to them). Is it possible for them to ip ban people from wifi? Is is this just a threat to stop people from cheating? Whats your opinion

P.S. I will send you guys the link about it as soon as I can find it again :S

You know is good to have the link before you post a topic in the news section, that way, it saves you the trouble of looking for the link after you post the thread.

Also, this is very old news, they are banning people that use the

All pokemon cheat
Pokedex 100% cheat
All shiny cheat

But they are many ways around this, people can just trade their counterfeits to another game and use that clean game instead of a hacked game.

Plus they only ban FC's, one can trade their counterfeits to a clean game, restart the none cleaned game, and trade back.

Also, only Bulbabot is allowed to post here.

I necromanced my ancient account to write this useless rant: Why don't nintendo just check the pokemons against some program(like before every match and trade) to see if it's actually possible to have such a pokemon legally. Like, an extreme example... A Magikarp with everything maxed out. Then at least the wifi would be a bit more clean.
Now, keep in mind I havn't actually used the wifi for diamond/pearl, so I might be completely wrong here. ;]

Well, it's pretty awful. Ask for something like a Kecleon for example, and people want level 100 Sudowoodo's or Dialga's for one. Really over the top offers.

They detect foreign hexs running on the game I.E. AR Cheats.

The oddest one I've seen this morning was a level 100 Drapion on offer. What they wanted in return was ... a level 100 Drapion.

But yes I've seen level 2 Bidoofs up asking for level 100 Dialga or Palkia, or level <9 Mew.

I've got an odder one: Someone wanted a Level 100 Magikarp for a Level 100 Dialga.

is it only on the gts or is it just using wifi for it?

if so i have a problem

Yes, but that would involve work-something cheaters have a strong resistance to. ;)

They would probably just start the game over again and just re-hack the pokemon.

Meh. I don't see the point in going through all that mess just for hackers. The hackers will eventually find a way around what ever road blocks Nintendo sets up, so it just seems like one giant waste of time to me.

I was researching this and apparently the lady who is in front of the escalator when you don't have the first badge (so you can't get on Wi-fi yet.) reappears. However, the walk through walls AR Cheat still works, so hackers can just walk through her and still get on Wi-fi.

So now we can't even use hacking for personal reasons? This sucks.

Ah well. At least I can just save my strong pokemon and start over.

Probably an attempt to clone

Ironic, isn't it.

They probably run checksums on your Pokemon, make sure the stats are right for the EV's, Nature and IV's it has and make sure the moveset it's using is legal.

They don't on your pokemon though, just your game. They only pick up the All pokemon cheat, Pokedex 100% cheat, and All shiny cheat. None of those do anything on your pokemon.

What about in-game glitches? Are they just going to ban you if you use them in battle or trade? Or by just having them in you game? But how else are you possibly going to have the 8 extra Pokemon! Well, I think it's very stupid of them if they ban me just because I want my favorite Pokémon. Just because they made the games and released them I don't think it's right just to sit there and decide what gamers should have what pokemon and who is not going to have them.

I totally agree with you. I don't even have the Jap versions of D/P, so I had to use AR to get my fave Pokemon, Darkrai. And don't say 'You could've traded for it!1!!1', because I don't have any Legit event Pokemon (apart from a Lugia I recieved in a trade) so getting a Legit one in a trade would be impossible. So using AR to activate the event was the only way to go for me.
