So Viz is going back to releasing singles again? And what's the point of doing that with Diamond & Pearlwhen they're releasing the box set on the very same day?

No idea what those All Stars DVDs could be. More "Best Of" discs that no one will buy? RightStuf lists them as being 66 minutes apiece (=three episodes), so I'm betting that's what it'll be.

At least they're making an effort to get the entire series in boxset form.

Now all Viz needs to go is get the two Johto seasons and Advanced Challenge + Battle on boxsets and we'll have the whole series.

Whoa, since when have All-Stars #11 and #12 existed? o.o *looks 'em up* Hmm, Meowth and Treecko...

What they're doing with Diamond and Pearl is confusing me. Estimating every episode as 22 minutes, vol. 1 has 8 episodes, and vol. 2 has 9. Which makes the first box set the first two single releases packaged together with a total of 17 episodes, meaning we're going to have three boxsets with two discs each. (EDIT: All of which you can learn simply by glancing at Rightstuf! I need to look before I type.)

...why? '_' Nobody's going to buy the single releases when they can buy them grouped together for a cheaper price on the same day.

Looks like we're not going to have to wait a long time for Battle Frontier vol. 2. That's good.

it's probably just in case people don't happen to have the money for the boxset but have enough for the singles when they walk into a store. I mean not every Pokemon fan goes onto sites like these.

Multiple releases like this seem to be the way the R1 anime industry is going as of late.

Bandai is doing the same with Code Geass and Gurren Lagann.

I don't quite get the mentallity, but as long as it results in more better priced boxed releases, it's all good.

I will be getting the Battle Frontier setts for shure.

I am also confused why the heck they would be putting the singles and Box sets do DP out on the sae day.

YES! I could finally make a show and put it on Youtube. (I call it Ash and the team saved by the military. I get scenes from pokemon and Call of duty 4 and other stuff with military)

Maybe ppl will buy the single disks if the box sets are sold out. The Bleach movie was good, but not worth no 30 bucks!

But 30 bucks is still a good deal..

Wow they're releasing the singles and the boxset on the same day..interesting.

It is very very rare that any anime be sold exclusively online. (though it HAS happened, with Imaginasian's releases of Orguss, Cat's Eye, and other series they had)

So of course it will be in stores, it's just a matter of what kind of stock your local stores will have.
