YTV says Season 9 will start, 1:00PM, April 7th, and it will air once a week until the series ends. It'll replace the weekly Advanced Battle reruns.

When it ends, it'll start again from "Fear Factor Phony" unless they've gained the rights to Season 10 by then, which is probable because every season is 52 episodes long...although when they're behind the US, which was rare back then, they have a 4-episode marathon, usually, so it may be done by September, especially, if The Zone picks it up.

Pokémon has been becoming bigger in Canada again. It comes on three times every weekday MORNING - 5-8 reruns, which'll change to 5-9, 5AM in the morning when I'm sleeping and I'll be in trouble if I'm caught watching, and 7-? reruns 8AM in the morning, when I'm at school.

During Spring Break and whatever, YTV replaces the normal kiddy stuff with popular shows, and one of them was Pokémon at 11:30AM, so it'll go back to two times a morning when Spring Break is over.

This is very good news.

Yeah, but at least you've probably seen Fear Factor Phony.

Do you think that this will spark more hatred towards the new VAs? I'm sure that most Canadians haven't heard the new VAs.

My friend [NAME WITHHELD] always tells me it's a stupid rumour, even though I have Mastermind taped off WB (because we get it) and I watch BF online when I can.

And the lucky TWO who got the eighth movie (it didn't sell at all, and it is impossible to find) also have heard the new VAs.

So you're saying that most Canadians don't even know of them or don't believe it?

Not really. Nobody likes Pokémon, so they don't even know what Advanced Challenge is. They rapidly dropped in ratings when AG started.

It's just boosting in popularity now.

lol. And here I went and posted in another thread about YTV not airing Battle Frontier...

I'll say what most of us are thinking: ABOUT BLOODY TIME! When they went back to the beginning of Advanced Battle it was like a kick in the gut. My Sat. dose of Pokemon was something I really looked forward to every weekend =/

Either way, great news, even though it means we probably won't be seeing the DP dub until next year (but better than never, eh?) :p

And the lucky TWO who got the eighth movie (it didn't sell at all, and it is impossible to find) also have heard the new VAs.

Err... I found the 8th movie just fine o_O

The eighth movie was never even in stock in most stores because of Pokémon's lack of popularity, so what are you talking about.

But if Pokémon's popularity boosts because of Battle Frontier, we might get it five days a week and be ahead of the US when the next part of DP comes out in September like we used to!

I'm more wondering what you're talking about myself. You make it sound like Canada hates Pokemon, but I seem to be able to find a fair bit of Pokemon merch lying around (nothing great, but it's there if you look for it - especially in the Toronto area). No, we don't have the magnitude of things you'd see in the US, but compared to the UK I think we're fairly well off.

Anyways, come to PEI (of all places). Check out WAL MART. You shall find the 8th movie, in stock, ready to be bought. I kid you not. I find it a bit odd that we'd have it and other provinces don't... But meh. If worst comes to worst, you can hit Amazon.ca and buy it that way.

I don't see it getting back into the Zone myself, simply because there are lots of new shows to fill those spots, but eh, we can dream.

It'll only be on Saturdays, when my parents give me lunch, and my mom always turns it off because she doesn't like it and would rather watch stupid Foster's, if not that, Ellen.
