Battle Maison Trainers using PP Maxes?

Have you had any experiences which would provide evidence to the trainers upping the PP of their moves?

I'm working through the Battle Maison in AS, and I came up against a Froslass. My Suicune used Shadow Ball, and the Froslass held on with its Focus Sash. I switched to my Mega Lopunny to get a free Powerup Punch, only to watch Froslass use Destiny Bond (#1). I wasn't about to let my Lopunny with full HP get taken out with a Destiny Bond, so I switched back to Suicune (with Pressure). Froslass tried another Destiny Bond (#2 & #3 ). Seeing where this was heading, I switched to Zapdos. As I predicted, Froslass tried another Destiny Bond (#4 & #5 ). Thinking he was out, and since I knew that a Blizzard was coming, I switched back to Suicune. Sure enough, the Blizzard hit, and I figured I was safe to take out Froslass when she used Destiny Bond again.

I thought that during XY, I had counted moves and PP ups weren't being used, but maybe my memory is just poor. Does anyone else have any input?

This is weird. Something like that never happened to me, no. And I don't really think they use PP-Ups in any Battle facility. Maybe something in that Battle stopped Pressure from working, that would be my guess.

Pressure only works if the move is directed at the pokemon with Pressure. Destiny Bond is a self-directing move, so it isn't affected by Pressure.
