Filb has revealed a handful of new screens, featuring Pochama, Hikozaru, Groudon and Diaruga......but what is notable is that the Pochama pic has "Developed by Genius Sonority" in the corner.

Looks like Battle Revolution is going to be an RPG and not a Stadium game like people were speculating, at least unless Genius Sonority had a sudden change of heart.

I must say that while there were definitely things Colosseum and XD did wrong, they were both enjoyable plays, so I'm certainly looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

Coloseum and XD had one major problem ( besides the horrible graphic...but..hey, it is a pokemon game...):

They had no atmosphere.

Everything felt so dead and uninspirered. The characters had no real character. Everythink felt so "forced".

I hope battle revolution is indeed, a revolution and doesn´t take place in Orre again. The region is pretty boring. What can you do with it? There are barely any towns, no significant people, even its enviroment is pretty lame.

please, developers, take your time with the game! don´t rush it!

We knew Genius Sonority were developing this game anyway - this is the reason they were created, to make console Pokemon games.

Also, XD wasn't bad. It was just Colosseum - only done better. If it wasn't for the fact that I had already wasted about 20 hours playing the Colosseum story mode despite its sub-par construction, it'd have been great. Hopefully Genius Sonority aren't going to simply do XD again in the same way.

I think the main reason they DID what they did was becuase they knew Colosseum was on average pretty poor - though remembering that this was their first ever project is worth baring in mind. They did pretty well with Trozei though, and have shown that they can surpass Colosseum thanks to XD anyway.

Since we already know the battling is looking massively improved, all they have to do is do a good story mode to go with it.

I thought the two games had good characters too. At least in Cipher, the grunts actually got names and the Admins had personalities. That's a lot more than Team Rocket could ever lay claim to....

Hey! Colosseum's characters were deep. Deeper than even the animé can be.

How were they "deep"?

The only character in Coloseum I liked was Mirror B., he was a nice idea. Venus was an okay female boss, but the rest?

What´s the Coloseum maincharacter´s name again? He looked badass, but that was everything we really knew about him. The "intro" tried to explain his background, but I think it failed, it wasn´t enough.

Please, do a better storyline and better storyTELLING next time.

Even RPGs with a medicore or "bad" story can entertain when it is told well. Col and XD failed at this. ( okay, I agree with Doctor Oak, XD was better, but it felt way too recycelt.)

DP seems to have somewhat of a plot...so that's good.

Puzzle League wins in plot.

I liked the Cipher Admins. The heroes, though, were pretty paper-thin, and seemed to be mostly directly inspired by the anime (now introducing Misty2 and GeriatricAsh!).

I hope that Battle Revolution doesn't have snagging. As much as the concept was interesting, I just didn't like it all that much. I want something more engaging from a game. Though Wes was the most awesome-looking Pokemon main character EVER.

Considering even Trozei was obsessed with "stealing back" stolen Pokemon, I think it's likely Genius Sonority is obsessed with that concept to the point of being a broken record and will be in Battle Revolution too.

XD seemed to kiddify Colosseum, I always thought Coloseum was more interesting than XD as well...

The Mt. Battle Music <3 and regular trainer music in Colo (well it's in XD if you talk to Willie)

I dunno there was something missing in the console games. I think the console games lacked motivation and was kind of boring. They also tried taking a unique take on some aspects but carbon copied other areas. Such as carbon copying an evil team and the legendary pokemon showing up for no reason. I thought the Colloseum theme was much better than XD's kiddified theme. XD did improve on some aspects but the game still felt forced and there were still some problems.

The characters had no real character.

They had a heck of a lot more character than most of the characters in the Game Boy games. 0_o Eldes, Ardos and Miror B. especially. And I'm not just saying that because I'm their fangirl. X3 *shot*

Well I can't say much for Colosseum, since I've never played it, but XD had some pretty good characters. For example, Ardos=Awesome Villain. I've always thought that Ardos was the best Pokemon villain ever, and I always will unless Pokemon makes a better villain in games to come. (And knowing my fangirlism, I don't think I'm going to think otherwise anytime soon. XD) Wanting to blow Citadark Isle to pieces to get rid of ONE person despite killing everybody else, never "seeing the light" as many Pokemon villains seem to do, and walking away instead of admiting that he's wrong. In my opinion, that shows a lot of character.

I could go on, but then my post would get so long no one would read it. :p

Back on topic, I enjoyed Pokemon XD and I'd like to see another Orre game. I'm still not too sure if this is another Orre game, but there will probably be another one eventually, since XD's ending had "sequel" written all over it. Of course, my parents will never let me get the Wii, since I have enough game consoles as it is. Maybe I can get it at a pawn shop when I move out of the house in about four years... =_=

By the way, where'd you see these screenshots, TGB?

Mh, sure, the characters were better than characters in the GB/A games, but that doesn´t make them interesting written characters at all. Mirror B. and other villians are fan favourites for a reason.

A few villians in the GC games were different and had style. XD did better than Col.

I mean,...the villians in Col. besides Mirror B.,Venus and the doctor-guy were a joke? The mad major? A random bishi who does nothing in the game? A muscle-guy with mustache?

I hope they won´t recycle any locations 1:1 if the Wii-Pokemon game takes place in orre. They recycled so much in XD it wasn´t funny anymore...

The villians in XD might have been better, but the main character and his "sidekicks" are all lame in my opinion. Wes´ design was very cool. He even had a matching motorcycle a la Dirty Harrym but what else does he have? not much.

Michael isn´t the greatest character either.

The GB/A games aren´t very story driven and are more about doing what you want to do after the elite 4, but the GC games WERE story driven games. They were all about a story fighting evil guys and so an, but the storytelling failed horribly.

I say it again. I can live with a cliché story or 2-D characters as long as the story is told properly. PLEASE genious sonority,...work on the story-telling this time...get a better director...

Oh, I think GTB got the pics from filb.de that´s where I found them anyway.

XD had better bosses? RLY? WTF?!?!? Snattle? Lovrina? Gorigan?I don't know whether these were meant to be for comic relief or meant to be serious, but they failed in either aspect. I mean come on, if you were bent on world domination, would you employ a teenage girl, a wannabe politician and a monkey?

I don't think so.

AND THE FREAKING ROBO-POKEMON!

This made me hate genius sonority. I mean, a giant robotic Groudon and Kyogre? IT WOULD'VE BEEN COOL IF THEY ACTUALLY BATTLED!!!!!!! How was sitting in a chuck of steel supposed to help Chobin win.

Don't even get me started on Chobin.

I myself would've liked to have seen more of the storyline behind Michael's father, rather than just a few sentences here and there about how proud he'd be if he were here today.

And i know that there are a lot of trainers in the game, but is it really that hard to come up with ACTUAL names for them? Somehow EGROG and ZQELT don't really cut it with me as far as characters go.

Nothing will beat mirror B in terms of pokemon characters.
Though the game looks cute, defaintly <3
Paruika is looking sexy ;3

Yes but cutesy-poo doesn't really match with EVIL POKEMON FIGHTING MACHINES OF DEATH now does it? BTW Balthamos, is that the same Balthamos from the "His Dark Materials" Trilogy?
