Battle Spot Special Rules Thread - Kalos Pokédex Only

So, the current ruleset of the Battle Spot is 4 v 4 battles with only Pokémon from the Kalos Pokédex allowed (excluding Mewtwo, Xerneas, Yveltal and Zygarde).

Currently, I'm using a team of Greninja, Goodra, Mawile (w/ Mega Stone), Aerodactyl (w/ Mega Stone), Roserade and Meowstic and I'm finding that I have a rough 50-50 win-loss rate. Goodra is an absolute beast as a special tank (especially with Assault Vest) but is vulnerable to physical dragons like Garchomp (it can survive a Jolly Dragon Claw, but not a Jolly Outrage or Adamant Dragon Claw). I don't think there's a single Pokémon that is an outright threat to my team in that I have most things covered, but Mega Kangaskhan can be annoying.

How about you? What are you using and how are things going?

Considering how bad I am at battling, I'm getting better. I still sit in the 1490 range, but that's better than way down in 1430 where I have been since I started trying to battle earlier this month.

I recently changed how I use my team and the makeup somewhat, and it's done a great deal to help me start clawing my way to at least a 1500 (or so I hope...I could just be on a really lucky streak right now). But I do feel I understand the speeds/priorities of different monsters better, and am getting more use out of my pokemon now than just in the past week.

The team I normally end up using is Greninja, Talonflame, Tyranitar, Aromatisse. Although sometimes I'll swap one of those out for mienshao. (also got a XL gourgeist, but haven't actually used it at all since I restructured my team, I'm considering swapping Goodra or Marowak back onto my team). Main thing for me is I'm not getting shut down so easily anymore, where I used to go down with the opponent having anywhere from 4-2 pokemon left, now I can normally drag them down to 2-1, so I hope it is that I'm improving.

Happiest moment of the day for me so far is finally managing to beat a perish trap team, and shutting down someone trying to abuse dark void smeargle.
