The following are two of my teams of three I trained for the Battle Tower. I'm not particularly good at competitive battling nor have I ever battled competitively with other living humans, so any and all help/opinions are appreciated.

First team:

Togekiss
Nature: Modest
EVs: 6 HP / 252 SpAtk / 252 Spe
Item: Wise Glasses
-Air Slash
-Roost
-Nasty Plot
-Aura Sphere
I typically use her as my lead because she's a good sweeper and can take a decent amount of hits.

Electivire
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Item: Expert Belt
-Thunderpunch
-Cross Chop
-Earthquake
-Ice Punch
Because he hits hard but can't seem to take too much damage, I typically use him to finish off what Togekiss can't, or use him as a switch in on electric opponents.

Blissey
Nature: Bold
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SpDef
Item: Leftovers
-Toxic
-Softboiled
-Aromatherapy
-Shadow Ball
She's sort of my last resort that gets me out of trouble when my inexperience gets the other two KO'ed. Her entire strategy depends on stalling while Toxic and Shadow Ball lower the opponent's HP and SpDef.

Second Team:

Espeon
Nature: Timid
EVs: 6 HP / 252 SpAtk / 252 Spe
Item: Wise Glasses
-Psychic
-Bite
-Signal Beam
-Calm Mind
Yes, Bite. Since she was traded rather than bred, I couldn't get any egg moves on her and didn't know what else to put. She's supposed to be my lead sweeper, but I have no idea what to put in place of Bite.

Rotom
Nature: Timid
EVs: 6 HP / 252 SpAtk / 252 Spe
Item: Focus Sash
-Thunderbolt
-Shadow Ball
-Will-o-wisp
-Confuse Ray
Its supposed to be sort of a backup attacker/status support. I intended for Focus Sash to allow it to switch in on enemies that threaten my lead Espeon. What I need an opinion on is to what status moves to use; I'm torn on Will-o-wisp and Thunder Wave.

Suicune
Nature: Bold
EVs: ...unfortunately, I cannot remember nor find my records of it. I know there was emphasis on HP though.
Item: Leftovers
-Surf
-Substitute
-Calm Mind
-Ice Beam
Its intended job is to stall, set up, and sweep when Espeon is either KO'ed or faced with an enemy she can't take on her own. It can take a lot of hits and I generally call it out on either the common water-type enemies or other defensively inclined enemies, to allow substitute to hold up.

Because the second team is entirely special oriented, I'm considering switching out Rotom for this:
Salamence
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Item: yet to be decided, help please
-Outrage
-Aqua Tail / Crunch
-Earthquake
-Fly
I kind of want her to be my Battle Hall pokemon too, so I don't know if I should have Aqua Tail for type coverage by herself or Crunch for type coverage as a team. I just know I want a physical sweeper.

Please comment, especially on the second team. Thank you.

Togekiss works better with some emphasis on SP.Defence as well and with Thunder Wave you can cripple your opponent....

My Togekiss has
-Thunder wave
-Roost
-Aura Sphere
-Air Slash

and EVs in HP, SpA and SpD don\t remember how much but it still has some SpD......that way it can survive 2 or if lucky 3 Ice Beams.
