A new MMO sensation has swept the world: Battleground: Mugen. A game that has a allows constant updating, customization, and creation of characters. Abilities are endless; weapons, clothing, and other asthetic choices, almost as much. Players can do anything from creating an exact replica of thier favorite videogame or anime character to creating a superpowered version of themselves. The game was being constantly updated by a record-setting team of programmers, building a world from the ground up.

After a year, the game was so massive it was divided into 100 different Realms, each given to one of the 100 top ranked players for moderating. A year later, a worldwide tournament was announced; the top 5,000 players would compete for a sponsorship. One the first day of the tournament, an anomoly happens; with 5,000+ people sitting at their computers online, they were transformed into their characters. From teachers to CEOs to elementary school kids, thousands were transformed. Almost the entire population of the small town of Pantheon were transformed.

Everything changed.

Rank: 101-5000. No, there won't be that many participants. Also, my Co-GM will be in the top 100.
Abilities: YOU MAY NOT HAVE NO UPPER-LIMIT ABILITIES, NOR MAY YOU HAVE MORE THAN THREE STANDALONE ABILITIES. You must set a definate upper limit for your abilities; i.e., a superspeed character can only go so fast, etc. You may 'create' new abilities as the RP progresses ONLY IF THEY ARE A DIRECT PROPERTY OF YOUR CURRENT POWERS. That does not mean they must be specified; i.e. a character who is made of rubber may push his blood pressure beyond what a normal person could because of his rubber body (yes I ripped that off of One Piece).
Weapons: Are they extentions of your power? Also, what are they? If you use Pokemon, that counts as an ability and a weapon.

Personality: Do they act differently than you human char in major ways, or just nuaces?

Personality: Stern and unforgiving, but a good friend and great tactician.
Appearace: Scattered look, unkempt brown hair, and brown eyes. Around 6 foot.

Battleground Persona

Gender: M
Rank: 5
Abilities: He can, guess what, push and pull things without touching them. This goes for any physical object that isn't part of the landscape, though some things are harder to push than others. Things he uses as weapons often are: air, condensed and shot by his power, pebbles, and the character themself.
Weapons: Anything in sight.
Appearance: He wears a black vest with a hood, black pants and combat boots, and fingerless gloves. He is well-built but not musclebound.
Personality: Virtually the exact same personality; Jacob doesn't believe in faking who he is.
Realm: Orbita, a space Realm. It has no direct gravity; rather, larger objects have small gravitational pull to them. There are no permanent settlements, just caravans of traders and mercenaries. It is the largest of the Realms, too, but there is little reason to travel much further than what is referred to as 'The Center', the area with a closeby miniplanet and a portal to other realms.

Name: Izumi Kihaku
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Personality: Basically, Izumi is michevious, and overactive. But during her time alone, she tends to be lazy, but otherwise, She's fired up and ready to go. Izumi is tricky and likes to poke fun at people sometimes, though, she's nice and funny. Izumi loves working in teams, but she loves it more when she takes the leadership goal. She's very sensitive, even though she doesn't seem to show it, and always tries to just laugh it off.
Appearance:

Izumi's really short, about a regular 13 year old's height. She has long straight black hair, and has green eyes. She has bangs that cover her left eye. She wears hoop earrings. She has light tanned skin.

Clothing-
Izumi wears a long sleeve black shirt, and a skirt with blue and black patterns on them. She has long socks, and wears blue sneakers. Though, sometimes, she wears different clothing, mainly a black T-shirt, and a short sleeve pink jacket. When Izumi is wearing this, her skirt is pink and black, other than blue and black. She also wears black fingerless gloves, with a star design in the palm.

Battleground Persona

Name: Izu-Zu-Chan
Gender: Female

Abilities: She is empowered by elemental crystals that float around her, her crystals are the symbol to her power, and to every realm she goes, Izumi can find a crystal, if she fights enough, the realm's crystal becomes hers. Izumi currently has 10, but only can use up to 6. Each crystal has its own unique power, and they could be used as a shield, an equip, a platform, and other things.

Weapons:
Fusion Sword- From Final Fantasy Advent Children.
She uses the Fusion when she is fighting a close range fight, she can swing the sword with one arm, and is able to use the Omnislash after special conditions are met.
Izumi usually uses the Main Blade, and has the other parts of the blade floating in the air(When the Psychic crystal is equipped, if not, the other pieces are laying on the ground). But when she's serious, she uses the whole sword intact.
Appearance:
Her physical appearance is the same, but her hair is blue, and her eyes are blue as well.

Her clothing, however, is very different.
Izumi wears a school girl uniform with a color combination of Blue and white, the miniskirt is pink, though. She has long socks that reach up to knee length. But, this is covered by her large dark blue jacket, which seems to fit her a bit big, the top half of the jacket is zipped/buttoned, but the bottom half of it is open. She has a large dark blue wizard hat. She still has the black fingerless gloves from were she uses in the real world.
Personality: Her personality is the same, but she has a stronger sense of justice, and is always eager to get into the action.
Realm:
The Sky Sanctuary-
A realm of eternal happiness, one of the safer, more holy places of Mugen. It has a small humble town, where the shops are expensive, yet, they have very rare items there. It is somewhere hidden in the sky, but it can only be accessed by a Holy Vitua Key(VIRTUA, not VIRTUAL), which can be found in the depths of other realms in some of the dungeons, they can be given as gifts too in events, or held by Mods.
This place has a Sacred Shrine in the forest east of the town, with a giant glowing gem shining brightly at the altar. If anyone were to destroy the altar's scared gem, them the sanctuary will plummet to the earth, and will obviously, become inaccessible. The reason why the creators made that, was cause the area was never intended to be revealed to regular users, and it was a place where the Mods could relax. So they set up the altar to see if they can trust the users.

Real name: Kevin Hobbs
Gender: Male
Age: 14
Personality: A happy-go-lucky soldier type who can be quite the wise guy at times. Even though, he is a very good shot with a rifle, can be furious in a fight, and is training to become a marine someday.

Real world appearance: Brown hair, blue eyes, a half built up body, extra leg strength, and a boxy face.

Mugen World
Name: Helljumper
Gender: Male
Rank: 561
Ability: He can fix and hack broken electronics and other devices.
Weapon: ODST silenced SMG and Sniper Rifle
Appearance: Dutch's type ODST armor.
Personality: Same as above, but always jumps into a fight.

Realm: Blackout
A city area that is plagued by frequent blackouts. Much of the city has been destroyed, so it makes good cover for snipers, and for planning ambushes. There is also an armory in the center of the map, hidden in a heavily fortified building that can be used to dominate the realm.

Gender: Male
Age: 14
Personality: Cheerful, and eager. But can also happen to be very psychotic at periods of time when he can never get his way
Appearace: Short, and thin, has long and messy black hair, and has jade colored eyes. Wears a scarf, the same way his MMO character, Crow, wears it. Also wears blue-jeans, and a black hoodie often. He always have a random design he has drawn on his hand each day.

Battleground Persona
Name: Crow
Gender: Male
Rank: 235
Abilities: His abilities consist that of what an assassin would hold. He uses the skills of Speed Increase and Cloaking.
Appearance: Crow has short, spiky lavender hair and grey eyes. One thick lock of hair curves back, and he wears a large, black cape, and a black scarf around his neck. Under the cape, he wears all black plated armor. Crow is around the height of 4’8” (so he’s short XD)
Personality: Crow is often times, very serious and somewhat shy to others. But he is very violent, and proves to not be anything to “toy around with”. Also, he hates to be picked on about his height.
Realm: Midnight – A dark realm filled with demonic creatures and undead beings, those who prove themselves to be the bravest of warriors treads through this vast and eerie land. This realm always feels as if it is night, and is if day never passes. The realm’s biggest hot spots is the Graveyard and the Valley.
Weapons: Reaper Claw - A large, black, machanical-like claw that goes on both of Crow's arms. It is able to extend and be shot at the enemy. It is imprented with a red dragon mark on each palm.
Kurtze - A weird looking blade, it is cressent moon shaped at the tip, and is also imprented with a red dragon marking. The sword is able to fires waves of flames and ice.

Name: A.D (Still not saying my real name =P NOTE: Not the same A.D as I use in my RPs, he's the Pokémon World counterpart of this one and me.)

Gender: Male

Age: 17
Personality: Cheerful but quiet. He is loyal to his friends, but usually works alone, since that's how he works best.

Appearance: Long brown hair and brown eyes. Commonly seen in a black shirt with either jeans or combat trousers

Battleground Persona

Name: Caliga

Gender: Male

Rank: 273. (there's a reference there, see if you spot it =P)
Abilities: He is the jail of an entity known as The Darkness. He has limited control over the powers The Darkness himself harnesses, thus can summon a weapon into his hand or even throw the energy itself, which would usually slice through anything that wasn't protected by The Light. Unfortunately, the amount of Dark Energy he can use depends on The Darkness' own mood, which can annoy him should The Darkness not feel helpful.

Weapons: He can summon any weapon, but always uses The Dark Blade, a blade of dark energy summoned by The Darkness, which boosts his attack but lowers his speed. When he is involved in Ranged Combat, he will throw circular blades of Dark Energy at the opponent.

An ability of The Darkness' and not Caliga's is to seperate consciously and take on a shadowy form outside of Caliga's body. Unfortunately, there is little he can do in that body, and only does it when he grows bored. The Darkness can also take control of Caliga's body, but only when Caliga is unconscience or willingly allows him. Whenever this happens, Caliga's red eyes begin to glow and Dark Energy leaks from him, but something is mentioned about restraints that seem to be upon The Darkness, which also seem to restrain his own powers.

Appearance: With blood red eyes and oddly white hair, Caliga usually hides himself under a cloak inorder to hide three glowing scars on his chest, stemming from an attack by Warriors of The Light attempting to dispose of The Darkness. When he does show beneath, the cloak, there is armour made from Dark Energy around him, a form of defense provided by The Darkness, since if Caliga dies, so does he, although Caliga can willingly remove it with his control over the Dark Energy.

Personality: Caliga and A.D act the same.

Realm: The Dark Realm. Standing opposite The Light Realm, The Dark Realm contains highly vicious creatures that are attracted to hate and deceit. Where there were once humans, as where Caliga came from, they were wiped out by The Darkness, Lord of the realm, who was imprisoned by a Priestess as she died. Caliga, who the Darkness had missed during his attack, became the jail as he was the only living human left and was thrown out the realm. Since The Darkness was removed from it, The Dark Realm cannot be accessed, not even by the beings of light, so no new human settlements could be started.

The Dark Realm contains large plains, the darkest forests containing the worst creatures, and a castle where The Darkness once ruled from, which sits on the top of three mountains, being just that big. It is constantly dark, the only light being that of the constant moon which never moves from it's position in the sky. It is assumed the only way to access it would be to free The Darkness, but since noone is willing to allow his wrath to be freed, it will most likely never happen.

Dark Energy is a reference from Mega Man 8, but I don't recall Forte using swords. Forte.EXE might have, not sure cause I never really played or watched the Megaman.EXE things.
 
Yeah, EXE has darkness swords. I played most of the Megaman games, but not Star Force. Played the 1st one and went >.<, never touched it after I beat it.
 
I prefer the Robot Timeline, especially Zero's series. I just wonder what the hell happened to the original characters (Except Mega Man, he was destroyed as Quint methinks =P).
 
Okay, I think we have a good number. I'll probably post the start-up tommorow, though people are welcome to join before we get the plot really rolling.

Personality: Very timid but smart, but has a public persona of being fun and loud. Only joined Mugen for a girl he liked, but caught on very quickly to the game.
Appearance: Black hair, headphones are usually on, and constantly dressed up.

Battleground Persona
Name: Shift_Plus_1 (Shift)
Gender:Male
Rank: 1006 (Reference upside down)
Abilities: Can redistribute energy into the form of blasts but only if there is a power source nearby, Can teleport but only to about a mile at hour intervals, and limited pyrokinesis.
Weapons: Generally uses fire or the Giant Scythe he carries around
Appearance: Tall with slightly long black hair, with black pants and a red shirt. Overall nothing special.
Personality: Similar to the public persona of Neil
Realm: Tranquility- A realm that's similar to an urban landscape... on acid. The sky is a vivid collage of bright colors, Dueling takes pace in a massive battle ground in the sky, but no violence reaches the ground,

Name: Aubrey Raya
Gender: Female
Age:20 (Slightly older than Neil)
Personality: Bubbly, never serious, but has some issues.
Appearace: Likes Purple so is often wearing a purple shirt with her pant's that have a rose pattern on them

Battleground Persona
Name:Thorned Misery
Gender:Female
Rank: 153
Abilities: Can transform her left hand into a weapon for two minutes before having to wait, can control the virtual wildlife to an extent, and glide for short periods of time
Weapons: Her left weapon hand, and a rapier in the design of a rose.
Appearance: Green hair, with a green armored dress.
Personality: Very Similar to real life personality
Realm: Tranquility, Aubrey's realm. She was once in the top one-hundred but quit for a while, she invited Neil to join Mugen and join her realm. The sky sometimes reflects Aubrey's mood.

Okay, I'm posting it now, after this last character:

Real World
Name: Blaine White (Jacob's brother)
Gender: M
Age: 16
Personality: Hyperactive and humorous, though he can be serious.
Appearace: His left arm is missing due to an accident when he was younger, so he has all his shirts' left arm sewn shut; he has dark red hair and green eyes, and a playful smile.

Battleground Persona
Name: Cursed
Gender: M
Rank: 101
Abilities: He can seal away others' powers. Unfortunately, this also sealed his other two powers (illusion and pyrokinesis), but it also made him stronger. To elaborate, his 'curse', as he calls it, has four stages: Stage Zero, where it has no effect other than to seal his other powers, Grinder, where it gives him greater speed and strength, but damages his body continuously, Demon, where he gets even stronger and stops getting damaged, and Vampire, where he can pass on his curse to other people, shutting down their powers. In Vampire, he can also use his other powers. However, the further along he progresses, the more bloodthirsty and demonic looking he becomes, so he tries to limit himself to Grinder at short intervals.
Weapons: Muramasa, a cursed katana that can use weaker versions of his powers.
Appearance: His right arm is bandaged and in a sling, though he isn't hurt; he just likes to extend battles. He removes his arm in Grinder and above, though. He wears sunglasses and a black tank top, along with dark cargo shorts and running shoes. His eyes are blood red and his hair is raven.
Personality: Much darker than Blaine, even before he uses his curse.
Realm: Orbita
