Hey people! I'm new here and I am so excited!! I don't really know a lot about this site, so can you guys help me out? Feel free to give me a tour anytime! Here's how: Write me messages about recommended areas, cool hang-outs, and more! I hope everybody will welcome me, so see ya!

P.S: New user on the site? Give 'em a tour! This is a community, right?

Just a heads up too, BMGf has no "cool hangouts." Being considered cool here isn't a matter of posting in the right places, it's a matter of making constructive and relevant posts in the forums you are knowledgeable about.

And BMGf fails again to be a open and friendly environment. Geez, a noobie makes a mistake and everyone piles on him.

Shouldn't somebody create a forum instructing new members what can be done here? Or is it better to let them make mistakes so we can make fun of them?

Somehow, I think the latter is preferable to most.

I'm gonna stick with what I said before. Forums are not a difficult thing to figure out. We don't to hold anybody's hand.

Well, welcome anyways! (Don't listen to gadfly, people don't always come off as grumpy, just bad timing :p) There isn't really much to tour, there are clubs you can join if you choose... Just find a topic that you think looks interesting and post in it!

The real question is if BMGf did create such a forum, will anybody bother to read it? Most likely not.

Welcome, passion4anime! I don't know what your interests are, but my personal favorite thing to check out here at Bulbagarden is the Pokemon General Discussion forum. You never know just what new topic will pop up there, so it's always worth checking out. I also recommend giving Bublagarden Oekaki a try. I had never even heard of and oekaki board until I came to Bulbagarden; but drawing on it really is a lot of fun and the other artists usually only give supportive and constructive comments...no art bashing! Well, those are two of my favorite areas of Bulbagarden. I hope this has helped and I hope you enjoy your time here!

I don't see why a "Welcome, new member" forum couldn't be linked to the completion of the registration process. Whether or not the new member takes advantage of learning the ins-and-outs of BMGf, at least he or she would have the opportunity of finding the rules, customs, practices and member options in one place and could refer to it later. Not everyone can toss the user manual aside when they open their new toy.

Why a forum? Because nobody is going to be able to write a user manual that can address everything. Make the basic rules stickys, but make everything else question-and-answer.

BTW, looking at the Members List, it appears passion4anime's last post was the day she registered. I hope she wasn't scared off because of something someone said in reply to her posts.

Oh, sorry

I didn't know I was being such a bother. I was just excited to be part of this thing. I just came here because I'm an advanceshipper. I am so embarrassed now. I wish I never wrote that thing, "Be A Tour Guide!" I am so stupid.

No, you don't have anything to be embarrassed about or feel stupid about. I made the same mistakes.

I'm sorry I hijacked your thread to bitch about something I've long complained about. I apologize.

Welcome to Bulbagarden. Your entry may have not been graceful, but you are definitely welcome! I apologize for the rest of us.
